Recently i saw a timmy made a stop this hobby right now and keep some iem, and thought of this. Not everyone has the luxury to keep many stuff. So if you guys get to choose just one item to keep forever what would it be?

My choice is the Monarch mk2. πŸ˜€

Hidition Viento R, but usually in B config

[–] blak_glass@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Penon Fan 2. The oldschool warmth, smooth details and stage depth lures me in every time.

I don't like your question so I'm modifying it. At my desk, sennheiser pc37x. Great sound quality, mic is decent

Away from my desk, I love my Moondrop Aria.

I can be content with these two forever

IEM would be the Letshouer S12 Pro. Headphone the Hifiman Arya Organic.

Truthear Zero: Red

KZ ZSN PRO X hp pavilion laptop with B & O tuned sound. Pristine performance.

[–] EL_Gerry@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I have been enjoying the Aful P8 for music/gaming.

[–] decloked@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Etymotic ER4XR. I say that as an owner of both Monarchs and many many headphones.

My favorite quality is the soundstage so any open-back HD800 series headphones (HD800, HD800S, and HD8XX) should be my favorite, also their frequency responses are easily manipulated with EQ.

Selle everything and get an iPhone and APP2

IEM-Dunu Vulkan/Headphone-DT1990 Pro. If I could only have one then I’d probably go with Dunu Vulkan.

if i had to quit right now it would be APMs easy. they sound great, are convenient, their spatial audio capabality is pretty alright. call quality is good both mic and sound.

i have better headphones but its the convenience to quality factor that sells it.

IEM: QKZ x HBB or Fat Freq Maestro

Headphones: Koss Porta Pro

Jbl quantum 810 wireless with eq they do it all,

[–] HuikesLeftArm@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I’d keep my AKG K702. They just do what they do in a way that I love. They’re not perfect, but for me they’re just great.

As others said, if I can replace them when the battery is dead the Airpods Pro 2. I use them a lot and sometimes even when I'm sleeping e.g. when I'm not at home.

If not probably the 7Hz Timeless because it's the best one I've heard so far and could still be used for commuting.

[–] Phanoik@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Give me the Meze empys and a good DAC/AMP and I'll be happy

[–] Lawley-N@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sennheiser hd660 s2 and AirPods Pro 2. I should really sell the rest of 20+ headphones whilst they have value.

WH-1000XM4's. Love having a nice pair of wired hi-fi headphones, but if I had to choose I couldn't ever give up the convenience of wireless, noise cancelling headphones. If I could only pick one, I would honestly pick this over literally even the most expensive wired headphones, and it's not even a difficult choice.

[–] PsyckSmurf@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Probably either the ZMF Atrium or the JM Audio XTC 2.

[–] isssma@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

My choice was, and still is KSE1200. Still one of the best in terms of transparency and details.

[–] Sproketz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

HD600 and Hisenior Mega5P. I already quit. Nerds on Crinacle's Discord hurt my feelings

Of all my kit my HE4XX. I don't have a ton of cans but they are the best to my taste. Id choose them over my:

HD6XX( ducks incoming flack) sure there is great mid detail but I need my sub bass and the He4XX always sounded more natural to my ear. That said, piano or intimate vocals on these literally made my wife cry and want to get back into playing piano)

Truthear Hexas (outstanding detail and default tuning. Id almost choose these but for long sessions the HE4XX is more comfortable.)

iSine20s ( detail is amazing but sound need to much equity to conveniently use)

1more triple driver IEMs Etymotic HF3 Grado SR80is Soundcore Liberty 2 Pros (honestly one of my go-to's for a long time for the combination of convenience and sound quality)

7hz Salnotes Zero Chu 2s ( both these and the Zeros are outstanding for the price and beat the 1mores and HF3s all around and beat the iSine20s for listenablity due to good tuning but iSine wins in detail and bass quality obviously)

Etymotic ER series ( doesnt matter which one, love them for its isolation and sound is basically same with all of them) as for the headphones its definitely KSC75 on a headband, they are comfortable and sound good for most of the things, like youtube, movies and casual music listening.

Having both the Utopia and U12t makes it hard to choose…I think I prefer the Utopia overall but given I’d probably want something portable so I can have all bases covered I’ll pick the U12t

ER4XR with custom tips.

Hifiman sundara.

[–] porscheboy919@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Moondrop S8

[–] Xerox-M57@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sennheiser hd650 and Massdrop+ IEM. Both are just good enough out of the box without any significant drawbacks.

[–] hillsboroughHoe@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If I had to give up now:

Dt880 600ohm

Shuoer S12 (zeos ones because gold drip is gold drip).

I have both and don't need more. I want more though.

I would keep the Performer 5

[–] messem10@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sennheiser HE-1

Never said we had to own it or for it to be feasible to do so!

[–] 5uperman8atman@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'd keep my Ananda.
