This is hilarious, part 2

I'm really enjoying thinking back about all the gloating Browns fans on that twitter thread after he had one good half.
It makes me immensely happy that his cap hit was back loaded, so it's massive over the next 3 seasons, making surrounding him with talent very difficult. It makes me sad that he gets all that money, but at least the Browns are reaping what they sowed. I do feel bad for the Browns fans that were anti-Watson from the start, which does seem to be like a pretty sizeable group on reddit at least.
This is hilarious, part 2
This will never stop being hilarious part ∞
Sources: Berry is beside himself. Driving around downtown Tampa begging (thru texts) Brady’s family for address to Tom’s home
At this point Brady is looking for any excuse to sell bud share in the Raiders.
Watson had decided to pick the Falcons and the Browns desperately offered him a new contract to change his mind.
Damn lol.
Is haslam the worst owner in the league? You know he was behind the fully guaranteed part
It’s actually impressive how badly this has gone.
Yea, Browns should be devestated being 3-6 after all this. wait is that right?
Do you think there aren't 20 QB's who would have the Browns 6-3 at this point? You want 2-1 with his extremely mediocre rookie backup.
23rd in AY/A (behind Minshew lmao), 24th in QBR (a bad stat, but still), 21st in rating, 30th in success rate, 26th in completion percentage, 7/4 TC/INT ratio. He's mediocre at BEST. Russel Wilson looks like an MVP in comparison.
If you've ever believed in karma, it's at least happening to the browns.
I feel bad for their fans, they didn't make any of these decisions but have to deal with the consequences of their front office.
Then why are the Texans seemingly lacking out with Stroud? Idk why it doesn't get talked about but based on what I've read it seems like Houston had some knowledge of what was going on and may have even been complicit.
That team is far more likable with PJ.
Reminder that his cap hit in each of the next three years is a little over 300% what it was this year.
For three first round picks, the barometer should really be higher than simply one step above average.
I still remember when they benched Jacoby B having a very good year for Watson. This type of stuff couldn't be happening to a better organization
Remember when Watson went 14-14 in the 2nd half and led a comeback against the Ravens? You guys really looked like shit there in the 2nd half. Fuck you and I hope you keep choking leads
Remember when he sexually assaulted dozens of women and got away with it, then was given an insane amount of money?
One fucking game lmao. Actually one fuckin half of a game. That’s all you got?
This is great. Just needs more dollar signs and laughing emojis.
I will happily read and enjoy every thread shitting on Deshaun Watson. keep em coming
He’s getting a quarter billion either way
but he'll never 'lose the lockerroom' because this league is full of bigots and misogynists that will never be against a blackman playing qb, and will never believe he forced himself on those women.
dude could throw an int every play and never have teamates turn against him.
downvote into the abyss, it will still be true
And thanks to restructuring the contract, the cap hit for the contract really hits starting now. This was their true shot.
Better question, what does Watson/The Browns need to do to make this trade worth it?
If they win the Superbowl next year, does that even everything out?
If Haslam sells the team it was worth it in the long run. Chemo to kill the cancer.
:(
Doesn’t seem to be hurting them particularly when they’re 7-4 when he plays
To be fair, they might be 40% of the way thru the duration of the contract, but they have to swallow 83% of the cap-hit for the contract.
I'm measuring it in sadness over time, so it's actually pretty appealing that it's 40% through.
The lasting negative impact of cap hits and wasted talent will just feel like business as usual, just without a serial sexual predator bringing down the whole vibe.
I’d like to see the side by side of Watson and mayfield.
Guys, they could have kept Baker Mayfield for HALF that money. They would be superbowl contenders with Baker right now.
DUCKS
That's above league average, not his average.
I gotta know, did you make this on short notice? Or did you have it in the vault
Another banger post as per usual
Guys, Deshaun can get massages now! Lol!
This is some fucking cosmic justice right here. Even knowing that eventually entropy will reduce everything we love to dust and beyond, it's a balm for the soul to know that bad things can in fact happen to bad people. I'm talking about Watson and also the Haslams, Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski. Get fucking shat on, assholes.
Bills are happier than anyone that people are focusing on Watson and the Browns.
Keep going.. Im almost there
How many Watson threads are going to be made? This is like ridiculous.
Your metric is awful if the Ravens game is considered “below average performance”
Fuck the Haslams and unearned, inherited wealth that sustains jackasses like them
This post actually gave me a bit of happiness because it let me know we're 40% through his contract. It seems like we'll be stuck with that asswipe till the end of time.
At least Watson is doing everything he can to make sure no other team ever gives a QB a 100% guaranteed contract.
