No tf it isn’t. For a ton of people, they only have access to local games, even if they aren’t fans of the team. If you’re a timberwolves fan in San Fran and they’re playing the warriors, it would be pretty annoying having to listen to homer ass announcers.
Yeah some home announcers are worse than others and all are somewhat homers. I think the spurs ones are pretty good about it

You need to listen to more announcers man, there's definitely a wide range of quality. Yes, almost every set of announcers are "homers" in that they root for their team, but there's large variance on if they'll get excited for exciting plays by the opposition, if they'll give credit to good play by opposing teams, and if they'll be objective regarding calls.
I don't mind listening to the other teams broadcast crew. What I dislike is how biased some of them are. The warriors for example never give any credit to the opposing team and they stick up for draymond way too much.
I don't think there's anything wrong with being a homer in a local broadcast. It's intended primarily for the surrounding area for the most part so for those fans it'll make it more exciting if the local broadcasters get hyped when the team is doing well.
But, homerism shouldn't blind you to reality and I think that's where the problem comes in with the Warriors announcers. It's like here in Chicago we have Stacey King who is a homer for the Bulls and we had Hawk Harrelson who was a homer for the White Sox. Stacey King does it well but Hawk was often miserable to listen to because he'd always act like the umps were out to get the White Sox or he'd throw tantrums if the team was losing.
