This is going to sound Cliche, but I found a good partner who is a go getter and understands some finances who I trust, then we jumped in the deep end. Used an online service to file with the state (In the US), each three in a couple thousand and just started working through problems one at a time and using what I heard in other departments at my day jobs to know what to watch out for. I guarantee that in 7 years you've learned more business than you think.

A big part of entrepreneurship is kind of stumbling in the dark while you figure things out. It can be super hard at first getting comfortable with uncertainty. I'm pretty new to this community but there seems to be some great people here with lot's of knowledge. Ask around here, look for people in your area you can take to lunch and learn from. I'd love to hear about some of your ideas!
Hey, I'm currently in the process of founding a digital business / legal agency in Switzerland with a co-founder.
I guess you just have to start. Like what problems can you solve? What are you passionate about? You can find good people to work with anywhere, but you should set a frame for that and values. As a founder you are in to learn a whole lot of new things - all while building a business. If you enjoy what you do it will be a huge advantage.
With your salary you could also work parttime while building it and still earn a living.
If you need help regarding legal and tax or insurance stuff, founding or in terms of digital business (webdesign, online-marketing, lead-generation, automation, etc.) feel free to reach out anytime.
Cheers
You learn along the way. There's no way, you're going to gather all the knowledge and create a perfect execution plan. Fail fast, learn and do better. You'll be surprised how much better you get every time.
I joined a community that gave me inspiration then I hired someone to help me turn my ideia into bussiness. Its about 1 month since I started. Maybe you can share a bit of your ideias here on reddit and see if some people with similar interest show up
There are places where you can start, such as YCombinator. Or you can turn to paid options such as paid startup dev studios. Self-plug alert: I run one and we're called Asper Brothers. You can also learn all the ropes the hard way just for fun. That's also great. Just ensure you're solving someone's problem actually and that there's enough people willing to pay you for solving this problem. Coming up with ideas just to build something is a very risky path.
That much! Are u the best in the country? I have more years of exp and cang reach that salary in USA
Choose a good idea, make a plan, learn stuff you don't know, and team up with the right people. Keep going and adapt as you learn. https://www.cuppa.so/post/how-to-find-your-business-niche-what-should-you-focus-on
Just in head first. Don't be stupid, think about your descensions, but the best way to learn is to act.
Don’t do it ! Take your 200k and go to a beach and have a few drinks ..
By just starting
I’ve bought 2 and started 4
I left corporate as a chief revenue officer then chief executive officer, with an accounting & finance background by education.
I wouldn’t let lack of knowledge hold you back. These are excuses, masking fear for most.
One thing worth doing is mentally mapping the downside and upsides. The downside is never as dire as it seems. Then, when you realize the upside is infinity, you’re comparing a temporary possible downside, to a fruitful upside. But it isn’t about $ imo. If you find something you can throw yourself at you may not think of the $, comes naturally.
You can start by becoming a software consultant. And take projects you would like to work on. This way you will learn all little things like law, corporate taxes, unfair clients, sales and marketing. Slowly, you will develop the business mindset and skills.
I am following something similar for last 3 years. I didn't had any major success but I also didn't had too many dry days. My annual income and growth has been similar to what I could have gotten in a job. But I am running my own business. And slowly working on build my business skills.
The benefit with this approach is I can sustain my efforts for many decades to come and with a simple 20% annual growth I can make it big by my 70s. As there is not much stress, I can be a good father and a loving husband. And hopefully my children can continue from where I leave the journey.
If you continue in you job, you will get bored soon. And your children will again have to start from the junior developer position when they join work. And if you go into a vc backed start ups, you will have to make many long term sacrifices.
Are you looking to start a business in switzerland or some other country?
Don't make the mistake I did of assuming that because I'm an incredible engineer I'd be incredible at all the other parts of running a business.
Find a partner that has the skills you lack and is an easy going pitbull (unless you're the pitbull, founding team can only have 1)
you make 200k a year? What's your current lifestyle? And will any business you start be Able to afford the upkeep of it?
Simply put, money is king, saving money to start a business properly will save you trouble and headache.
I recommend living below your means and investing and saving money to them start a simple business that you fully understand
