Odee shooting hang pulls
you forgot 'treball' >:(
*Not even dunking anymore (once last night tbf)
I mean, that's even more impressive.
Devin who? KD is best shooter on that team
Did anyone really claim that KD isn't the best shooter on that team?
Yeah what…Book is a great player, KD is a top 5 shooter all time
Both guys are awesome yet in every kd post its full of people bringing up booker out of nowhere. Now I know how warriors fans feel lmao
Tbh, it was just like this but much worse and in reverse in the playoffs last year. They're both great and either can be the best for any game or stretch of games.
Honestly it usually comes as a counterjerk to Durant. He got it with Steph/Harden and last year it was Booker. Initially in every thread giving those guys praise folks had to add in something along the lines of "By GSW/BKN/PHX's best player"
It's being flipped now but that's how it started.
KD is the 2nd best shooter in whole goddamn NBA if we also consider mid range.
He's the 2nd best shooter of all time, too
Huh? When was this ever a debate? KD been the best shooter on every team hes been on bar the Warriors.
Cringe comment. KD wasn't winning shit without Book on this team and that's still the case, they're 14-1 together in the regular season
All of the old heads having cracked shooting seasons. Steph at 43.7%, Bron at 41.4%, Lowry at 46.9%, Kawhi at 41.6%
Jimmy is at 39% so far this year, which might as well be 50% for him because he’s been terrible at them since he got to Miami, minus some crazy playoff games.
Steph shoots at higher volume tho
Oh really? Who knew
There may never have been a season in the last decade where he wasn't the best scorer in the NBA, well, when he was off the court with injury discounted. Midrange, plus 3 ball, plus free throw - unstoppable
2016, 2019
Miami LeBron, 2016 Curry. 2018-2020 Harden and 2021-present Jokic both have good arguments, too. Giannis and Embiid aren't crazy choices, either
OKC KD scored more points and was usually more efficient than Miami Lebron
Kd as a scorer betted than Miami LeBron (Miami LeBron a better overall player obviously) 2016 curry agreed, Gianni's and embiid don't have as much diversity as KD. Jokic as well. He's more efficient inside the arc, outside he isn't as reliable.
KD as an Individual Pure scorer is at worst Top 2 (only short of or Tied with MJ). But Curry or Jokic are better offensive players overall because their ability to create for others far exceeds KD. (Jokic with his passing and Curry's gravity being able to affect the entire offensive system)
I don't think it matters if you're not as versatile. Jokic may not be as good of a 3-point shooter in the regular season as KD, but he is ludicrously effective from everywhere inside the arc. He is an incredible shot creator, a guy who can reliably generate extremely efficient shots. He was +10, +12 rTS last season, that's completely absurd. He's just as unstoppable as KD, just in a different way.
He's not putting up the volume of KD.
Yeah man, KD is such an unstoppable scorer that he has all those playoff games where he just doesn't score in the 4th quarter when his team needs points. Who can forget those games vs Boston where he couldn't score for his life vs Tatum? Remember him getting clamped by Kawhi/Powell/Russ in the playoffs? Or getting clamped by Aaron Gordon? Or being unable to score in 2016 vs the warriors late in the game?
Yeah this guy is so unstoppable!
Isaiah Joe is a dead eye. What does his new contract extension look like?
Covid robbed me of a possible NCAA tourney run with Joe. Still salty over that. It’s great to see him develop into an awesome pro
Hes going to Lakers bro
gonna be so sad to see such a great shooter regress to just above league average 😢
How many attempts per game out of curiosity?
4.5
That’s surprisingly low to me
Dude doesn't take a lot of shots idk if he just cares about efficiency or what but if you look at KD's stats you will feel like he should've took more.
When you watch the shots he ends up taking from 3 it’s even more impressive. He has a hand in his face most of the time, someone else sprinting closing out to help and it’s from literally every spot around the arc over the course of the game. Off the dribble half the time. Smoothest gathers you’ve ever seen.
I swear most of his misses are late clock heaves
It feels like with all the advanced analytics in sports, things like hail mary passes and half+ court heaves should be separated from normal stats to get a more accurate picture of things. It feels like QB stats could be headed that way with drops sometime soon.
He’s unreal
Uhhh if that's the case why isn't he just shooting only 3s exclusively? Is he stupid?
Why doesn't the team collectively just get him to take 80+ shots from 3 each game? Are they stupid?
KD is the most overrated player I’ve ever seen talked about. Dude is ass
Yeah, I’d be heartbroken if he were on my team, what a scrub /s
The greatest shooter ever. The footwork, mechanics, balance. Its all there. Real ones know
That should be illegal
It's crazy how Steph shoots 48/44/93 splits and that apparently is a better TS% than 53/52/89
Curry takes more and makes more.
Simpsons paradox or some shit. I remember steph had a higher 2p% and 3p% than derozan but derozan had the higher fg% something like that
"but he isn't even top 10!"
Gtfoh mans still top 5 in the league
Woah
