A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

I took a picture of the night sky with my xiaomi redmi note 10 pro, 30 second exposure. The images that are not raw are fine. But the raw images have red and blue dots all over the place.

Sounds like chroma noise.

Not sure you'll ever get anything super impressive from a phone but by all means try! Have a look at dark frame subtraction though.

What's that?

Pretty sure darktable has it and I know Lightroom has it. But they have a "dead pixel finder" that will get rid of those automatically. Darktable is free.

Your camera should have a LONG EXPOSURE NOISE REDUCTION setting. if it is enabled, the camera will take a 2nd 30 second shot with the shutter closed, and it will then subtract that noise from the first pic. This can also be done manually by putting the lens cap on and doing a long exposure and then using software to do the subtraction. The first way is easier, but not always practical. YT search how to do both for details for your specific camera.
