A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

KEH is offering overall 150 more, MPB does buy my drone which KEH does not.

What is the overall experience with both? Which one is more reliable?

I am selling Sony a7iii plus a Sony 85mm F1.8 E mount, plus a DJI mavic 2 pro with fly more combo.

KEH is offering me 100 more for the body and 50 more for the lens.

I have no experience with MPB, but I have seen some MPB stories here you might want to look into.

I have been buying from KEH for decades with zero issues.

Mbp is solid. My MBP account and my PayPal were different emails so MBP held my order called me and wouldn’t release it until I verified the order and account info. That Is above and beyond what a company should do to eliminate fraudulent purchases.

As a buyer, I prefer KEH. As a seller, I'd go with whatever the best net offer is.

You’re getting screwed by either one. Try to sell it on FB Marketplace first.

I have been trying for a long time, no luck besides stupid offers or a million “is this available” and nothing else.

That's the rub. Lose a couple hundred doing it quickly or maybe finally squeak out more but have to wait 5-18 months to do so.

I have used both over the years and have no complaints with selling to either. Go with whoever pays the most for your gear both offer free shipping. For both I found it took several days to a week after the package was delivered before they gave me their final offer.

As a buyer: the last 2 or 3 items I bought from MPB had major issues even though they were listed in excellent condition which makes me think they do little more than turn something on and look at the cosmetics.

I bought a Leica M6 with a rangefinder misaligned and a bad shutter. And I bought a Sony RX1 with a huge dust spot that can’t be fixed since the camera is fixed lens.

The returns were easy but it’s just very annoying.

I don’t trust them as a buyer anymore. I’ll stick with KEH.

Had never heard of KEH till about a month ago; I was given their name by a local store that uses them as one of their brokers (hey take trade-ins but don’t sell much used equipment. I bought my A6400 body from them and am very happy with it so far. I shop around for sure, but I would buy from them again.
