On less mins too. Of course SGA was getting doubled every now and then but Chet has already cemented himself as our 2nd best player imo. If he reaches his absolute potential and become better than Shai (not a knock on Shai), then we’ll be in a really good spot

This is exactly why you can’t consider someone who had the advantage of a full year as a pro as a rookie.
Paolo and Jabari both actually got to play the years they got drafted. If they still counted as rookies this year do you think either of them would win ROTY this year?

I've seen way too much of Wemby standing around the 3 point line doing nothing on offense.
Chet absolutely has the lead. Wemby needs to start showing regular glimpses at his potential to get back in this thing.

I will continue to tag them until they stop acting like there’s some huge gap between Chet and Wemby
People using the "not even close" comment, most of the time are in total denial.

I wanted to tank for him two seasons ago, but no...we had to fake-try to compete and wind up with Jeremy Sochan.

Chet just needs to keep doing what he's doing and the ROTY is his. He's now the betting odds favorite to win and deservingly so. He's been spectacular.

If Chet's stat is close to Wemby, I'll give it to him. If he can do that while not being the #1 option, that would be hell a lot more impressive.
Plus am a bit bias towards defensive players. Chet is known for his defence fist and foremost. Wemby not so much.
I pray pray pray Chet has a long and healthy career because this is still his first year of real NBA play, I can't wait to see his peak. If he continues to develop his motor and maintain his interior defense and shooting, he could be a KG/KD hybrid.. salivating to think about.

Chet’s epm at the moment has him as a top 10 player in the league (#6-8). Wemby at around ~100.
Chet’s started off his first season playing great basketball. At the moment, Chet’s clearly above Wemby for ROTY, which isn’t bad on Wemby (he’s 2 years younger), just about how good Chet’s been. If Chet keeps this level of play up, he could legitimately end up on an all nba team.
Weird Saturday day game after the Giddey stuff when CFB is peaking. The refs had the whistles on speed dial too.
Felt like a weird game but a good test for OKC and coach D was definitely in experimentation mode with the rotations.
Overall the biggest takeaway is SGA and Chet is a legit duo. This isn’t “Shia and young bucks”. Chet is imo already all star level and JDub (who’s been out a few games) looks like a borderline AS too.
Bro Chet needs to shave the fuckin beard and hire a stylist. Then and only then will I acknowledge he’s good at basketball.
