The accusation to the Portuguese president was made by André Ventura on social media on Wednesday after his far-right party, Chega, voted in the parliament against Marcelo's trip to Germany for an official visit between this Thursday and Saturday, after an invitation by his German counterpart.

In a video posted on Instagram, in which he appears with a document in hand, André Ventura makes the accusation, referring to the Bürgerfest meeting as "a hamburger festival", when it is in fact a "Citizen's Festival" (the German word 'bürger' means 'citizen'), held at the presidential palace gardens in Berlin.

NOTE: Sorry for not being able to translate more, but I genuinely suck at it.

HAHA so the far-right jackass is confused by a translation issue and is accusing the politician of going to a hamburger festival?

And then he accused the President of traveling outside of the country on tax payers dime 1550 times during his term, which, if true, would be just slightly less than once every 2 days, so obviously a lie.

The only people dumber than him are his supporters.

Good thing the event did not take place in Hamburg.

"Yo (hot) dawg, I heard you like hamburgers in your Bürgerfest in Hamburg, so I made you a Hamburgerhamburgerbürgerfest."

And what would have been the problem with a burger festival? I don't get it.
