Please stop with the stocks shit. It doesn’t account for the greater value of a steal than a block

[–] rcuosukgi42@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

15 assists no turnovers is actually nuts.

[–] DMD612@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Is there anything this man cannot do?

[–] shomerudi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

flop for free throws

[–] _CoachJoe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He really diversified his portfolio tonight.

[–] The_Mootz_Pallucci@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hes regularly responsible for like 40-55 points of production, even this is a good game for him

[–] panchettaz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nice finally not seeing Jokic's teammates waste his assists

[–] aw11348@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Slightly off-topic question: What exactly determines if a highlight will stay up on this sub or not? I saw like four different people post Jokic's dunk on Sengun tonight; they started racking in upvotes, good discussion, etc... and, every time, a mod swooped in and deleted it. Is it basically just vibe-based?

[–] OUEngineer17@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I've been wondering why I haven't seen that one yet. It was incredible. Wouldn't be surprised if the NBA drug tested him after the game.

Just a quiet night for Jokic

[–] PnG_e@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This shit is too easy for him

[–] Serendipity123xc@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Another triple double jeez man he gets them so easily it’s unreal

[–] ComfortableDino@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (9 children)

Can we stop calling Giannis or KD the best player in the world now after a quarter of a season?

Jokic has been the best player in the world for 2 years. Back to back mvp, finals MVP, and he looks as good as ever.

There's no one on the planet in his tier right now

[–] OberynRedViper8@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It seems like just about everyone is calling him the undisputed best right now, no?

[–] GooseMay0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Giannis at no point in time was ever the best player in the world. I've never seen a great player crumble on offense when it becomes a half court game and the refs don't coddle him.

[–] honestnbafan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yup

He wasn't a worse player before 2023 just because he had Will Barton as his 2nd option lol

Tell it to ESPN (with their stupid Top-100 list)

[–] mmaguy123@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

As a huge KD fan, I completely agree.

Jokic is and has been on a planet of his own for the last 2 years.

People don’t wanna talk about it but his offensive peak is better than KD/Curry and Lebron. The impact is insane.

[–] artvandelay916@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not better than bron or Jordan come on man

[–] ComfortableDino@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Idk if I'm ready to call his offensive peak better than Lebrons.

KD's? Absolutely. Curry? Most likely. LeBron? Possibly.

But these ultra effecient 30 point triple doubles have become more common than they were with LeBron.

[–] realsomalipirate@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Jokic has been the best player I've seen since prime apex LeBron. I think he's a clear tier above Giannis, Embiid, Curry, or KD.

Well said

[–] rcuosukgi42@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

KD was never the best player in the world, that went straight from LeBron to Giannis and then straight to Jokic after that.

Altitudinous Nikola.

[–] swapan_99@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Man the Nuggets floor is already very high with just Jokic on the floor, but the moment you add Murray and the two man game, it reaches a whole another level.

They just look like a machine that runs by itself without any work and input required from the user. Perfection on the court.

When fully healthy, Nuggets are KD warriors tier imo. Not because they are that unfair as a team, but because they play upto that level.

[–] nuggs_analysis@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

More 2014 spurs to me.

[–] Cylegal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I can't even manage my fantasy basketball team that well

[–] Low-Profile3961@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Embiid MVP was out of pity and voter fatigue.

[–] I_hate_humanity_69@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

This guy is in a league of his own. He’s the best player in the world without argument. He looks like fucking Godzilla out there, just a slow but absolutely unstoppable force of nature.

[–] The_NGUYENNER@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lol that's a hilarious way of putting it but so accurate

I really want someone to get a 20/20/20 score line. If anyone could, it would be Jokic. Or maybe Giannis. But Jokic has a much higher chance.

As a fantasy basketball player watching the same guy get Jokic 2 years in a row is fucking bullshit, shits so unfair.

Good grief this guy.

[–] SandyMandy17@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Triple double good

[–] sorendiz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (5 children)

For the love of God please stop making us play against the bad man. Please get him his horses so he can leave us alone.

As of right now the Rockets have spent a full 18.75% of their season getting lit up like a fucking firecracker by Jokic despite winning 2 of the 3 games thanks to Murray being out. And we play him AGAIN next week. It's fucked up man, I don't want to see him on the other side of the court from us twice in a whole season, let alone four times in the first two goddamn months

[–] The_NGUYENNER@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That's how I feel about y'all lol, we've had enough

Just enjoy the show.

Plus, Sengun learns things every time they play.

He could donate 5 assists to MPJ. They would both have triple doubles. When I see Jokic and MPJ combined for 20 assist I expect Jokic to have at least 19 of them.

He isn’t the MVP though.

[–] shazam482@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's the finals MVP

[–] LACIRCA2044@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why do the mods keep deleting Jokic highlights?

[–] OberynRedViper8@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I was hoping for 30 assists after that first quarter... damn.

[–] Ninja_knows@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nuggets with healthy Jokic and Jamal really open up the floor for others to feast. AG didn’t even play in this one, and he’d have added another 20 pts easily just off of running into open lanes.
