Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. If this ever actually happens I will be drawing little hitler mustaches on every one I get.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 45 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It will be the most defaced currency ever.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago

Defaced smallface.

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 12 points 4 days ago

“Huh? Oh weird. It was like that when I got it!.”

[–] chocrates@piefed.world 11 points 4 days ago

Gotta carve them so it can't wash or wear too fast

[–] unmagical@lemmy.ml 6 points 4 days ago

Or a fountainous neck wound.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 49 points 4 days ago (2 children)

That's ok. If Trump gets a hold of the Fed, the US dollar won't be worth much anyway. Go ahead and stick Pepe the Frog on that shit, for all anyone cares.

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He's already getting the Fed to lower interest rates at a time when the market's running too hot from the AI bubble and the cost of basic goods and services are ballooning thanks to his stupid bullshit tariffs. The next market downturn's gonna be a depression.

Make America Great (Depression) Again.

[–] doctortofu@piefed.social 33 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Replace the stars on the flag with his face too while you're at it! Hell, change the name of the country to Charliekirkistan too, why the hell not?!

Fucking hell, this really is the dumbest timeline...

I think one thing about history we don't get is how incredibly stupid fascist are. They are hateful and bigoted. At the core of it they are scared little boys that never grew up. They live in a privileged position they don't deserve and are insecure about it. That fear and insecurity is what leads them to the comfort of Fascism. It makes them feel strong when they are weak. It makes them feel smart when they are dumb. Once they control the state it's quite obvious how worried they are.

Yes. They are racist pieces of shit. But I think we give too much credit to the past and "the strength of Fascism". The Nazis were the same little boys LARPing in their delusions. Seeing it repeat today with live streams in 4k is just really showing the contradictions of their ideology. They will crumble if resisted with any meaningful numbers. It's why they are so quick to attack and silence anyone that stands up to them.

[–] boydster@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 days ago

YES! Mock fascists, attack their fragile egos, and do not obey in advance with their BS.

Pfluger said that "this commemorative coin will make Charlie the youngest American ever immortalized on legal U.S. currency, a fitting honor that cements his extraordinary legacy alongside presidents and founding fathers who shaped our republic."

There's a literally baby on the Sacagawea quarters. Also she's on there at around 17 years old.

But maybe you don't want to count native peoples?

James Monroe is on the back of the New Jersey quarter at the age of 18.

But maybe you don't want to count revolutionaries who became POTUS.

A rendition of a statue of Oliver Perry depicted at the age of 28 is on Ohio's "America the Beautiful" quarter.

The "Formative Years" penny depicts Abraham Lincoln aged between 7 and 21.

There's also "American Women" and "American Innovation" series.

FYI Its for 400k new silver dollar coins, not bills. Deface away, but use an awl instead of a pen.

[–] MyTurtleSwimsUpsideDown@fedia.io 12 points 4 days ago (1 children)

The bill calls on the U.S. Treasury to print 400,000 silver dollar coins with Kirk's face on them

It’s garbage commemorative currency. The kind you see advertised on old people TV for multiples of its face value.

Dollar coins for circulation are done in the multiples of millions

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 17 points 4 days ago (2 children)

I wonder what quote should go with it? He has so many good ones to choose from

[–] Carvex@lemmy.world 11 points 4 days ago (1 children)

“Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor. You’re not in charge.”

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

That's the one you put on the new dollar bill, so you can use it at the strip club

[–] wheezy@lemmy.ml 3 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Counting or not counting gang violence?

Gotta be my favorite one. But mostly because the rebuttal to it was so good.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 12 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Charlie Kirk, the American Horst Wessel.

[–] Plurrbear@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Agreed! I just said that earlier today!

[–] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 14 points 4 days ago (2 children)

We’re at the point in history where we ARE gonna have to do some wrongs to make things right. The sooner everyone realizes that the fewer corrective wrongs will be necessary.

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

That's a very succinct way to put it. I like it.

[–] Stabbitha@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Recent events are one thing, but eventually someone will draw inspiration from Ukraine.

[–] Catma@lemmy.world 11 points 4 days ago

I hope they use this image for him. So inspiring

[–] TribblesBestFriend@startrek.website 12 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I’m surprise to don’t have heard of a CryptoCoin with his face on it. Grifter gotta grift I guess

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 11 points 4 days ago

I mean, yeah, "could be". He literally meets the only requirement:

"An 1866 law bars a living person from being featured on U.S. currency."

TBH, I expect a stamp first. Easier to produce.

[–] Hayduke@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

You want defaced currency? Cuz that’s how you get defaced currency.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

These guys really want to make this dickbag a thing most Americans should GAF about.

[–] DrSleepless@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Charlie Kirk face of the $3 bill

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

The best I can do is $1.50

[–] oxysis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)
[–] turdburglar@piefed.social 2 points 4 days ago

but how much for one wing?

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

America is the best damned game show on earth. It’s fun to watch idiocracy unfold in real time.

[–] Lemmyoutofhere@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 days ago

And The Handmaids Tale.

[–] leadore@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Not a good idea. By the time each of the bills has passed through a few hands, holes will have been drawn on all the necks.

[–] m4xie@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It says in the first few lines the coins being released are a limited run of silver dollars. And it's only a bill being introduced, not decided yet

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Ok, so it's gonna involve drill presses and inheritances

[–] ClassStruggle@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 days ago
[–] TwinTitans@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Every single bill will have graffiti on it. No question.

I don’t use cash, and looks like I’m keeping it that way!

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Are anuses allowed on currency?
