Hooper's decisions always benefit Spurs, but for this particular time, I don't mind.

[–] NotARealDeveloper@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If this isn't proof of corrupt PL refs then nothing is.

[–] CarryOnRTW@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Betting corruption.

[–] Jbstargate1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ah yes the same Hooper who made blunders in the Liverpool Spurs game earlier in the season. Great idea to bring him back for another big game. Actually scrap that, even the likes of Luton deserve a proper referee. He shouldn't be involved in the game. At this point they have to be doing this on purpose. It is honestly ridiculous. I say this as a Liverpool fan. City were robbed there.

oh i feel so sorrry for the city cunts, poor them. 115

[–] CondorKhan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Zero sympathy for Man City but that truly was an awful, embarrassing call.

Anyway, hope they enjoy their apology letter.

He didn't signal play on. Play on is signalled by two arms pointing, he had one up. He saw Haaland flying, didn't expect him to get back on his feet, so he blew the whistle and called a foul. So the defenders paused. Grealish is only free because he kept playing despite the whistle being blown. So he should have let play continue, but it wouldn't have been Grealish free on goal if he hadn't blown it dead.

This is a blatant, embarrassing lie. Hooper does not blow his whistle until after Haaland has played the pass.

That was a legit howler from the ref. Absolute textbook 'play the advantage'.

Gotta feel bad for City though. I'm sure they've heard about about terrible reffing decisions that cost you points - but hearing about it and experiencing it are very different. No wonder they can barely process what's just happened.

The first time a call goes against you is the worst. Especially when you're paying the guy.

Don't understand what's happened to the officiating of this sport. Game's gone.

[–] GOR098@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Disappointed nobody tapped that bald head.

[–] slamajamabro@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

And now we know the refs ain’t dirty, they just fucking suck

[–] wallabear@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Check his bet 365

[–] infachuation922@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No sympathy for city. Benefitted from So many bad calls like rodri handball v everton.

[–] Competitive_Bear_201@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No more UAE paydays for Simon Hooper

[–] Iuvenesco@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Love your work Simon Hooper.

[–] palmerama@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

“good process”

How does this guy still ref in any division of the football league.

[–] Sofa47@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Maybe city have stopped paying the refs now they’re under so much financial scrutiny.

[–] Particular-Current87@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can the ref give himself a red card for DOGSO

[–] banned_salmon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nah wtf I betted for a draw and even I got pissed at the ref wtf was that

[–] Comprehensive_Low325@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That looks plain and simple Bias to me.

[–] regionaltrain253@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bro saw Haaland setting it up and thought "no way he makes that, gotta call the foul"

😭

[–] toluwalase@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oh well this is the joy of football. It goes against you sometimes but it goes against other teams as well. The refs are human and error prone. I’ll take this over VAR tbh

[–] _maranzano@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Simon Hooper to EFL Championship, here we go!

[–] DarligUlvRP@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s been 5 minutes and I still can’t close my mouth…

[–] MERTENS_GOAT@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This referee is finished

[–] Morf_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Best decision all game for city scums

[–] Cultural-Raccoon-185@alien.top 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don’t understand how they continue to say that dissent will be punished and then you have something like this

[–] MiltonMangoe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Haaland got a yellow for it.
