I want a McDonald's. There's something specific about the smell of mcdonalds food in the bag, like a mix of grease, beef, potatoes, and recycled paper products that make me feel like a heroin user getting the first hit of the day

If I could get a candle that smelled like the purple kush hemp strain I got back in the day, that'd be great. It had such an amazing fruity pebbles smell.

[–] RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz 2 points 6 days ago

It's not that special here but tar is a pretty good one

The smell you get when your mom runs the household vacuum cleaner from the late 2000s / early 2010s at noon on Sunday.

Gasoline. Would kill to have a scent like it without the cancer risk.

steam deck vent smell

Lantana, burnt diesel, petrichor, mango sap.

[–] spykee@lemmings.world 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Petrichor is available as perfumes. Spray it where you fancy and bob's your uncle.
For your mango kink, go test Wanted By Night By Azzaro, to me, it smells like mango leaves/mango seed, ymmv.

Ugh I love the smell of lantana πŸ’š

[–] Jobe@feddit.org 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Fog machine fluid. Love that smell. (I realise I could just get a fog machine, but it's funnier as a candle.)

When you have a lot of McDonald’s in the car it smells like actual garbage.

[–] Banana@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

Not when I'm stoned!

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I smelled a tomato one the other day. That kind of weedy vine smell. Loved it.

[–] LastYearsIrritant@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Umm... Tomato Vine scented candles already exist and are pretty popular.

Yeah they said they smelled one the other day……

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

They asked β€œnon-traditional”, but I’ll let you have it. You knew tomato candles before me! Woah!

[–] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 4 points 1 week ago

Wrong kind of access point...

Bakery/the smell bread makes while it's rising.

Actually you can buy that. I got mine from Country Home Candle I think it was called? Small Canadian company, but they all buy scent oils from the same places so you can probably find that scent from a business local to you.

[–] _deleted_@aussie.zone 4 points 1 week ago

Vegemite. That first heady whiff of yeast and salt when you open a new jar.

[–] cypherpunks@lemmy.ml 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

i checked their website to see if these are real; disappointingly they are not. they do actually have a "conductor's coal" scent, though.

[–] davel@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 days ago

it ain’t called liartown for nuffin’: it’s all photoslop and wordfuckery.

[–] lauha@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Coffee, but not that traditional mocca smell which smells like nothing natural but the smell of fresh bag of coffee beans

Tea.

That smell of a freshly opened container of black tea leaves is lovely.

[–] EurekaStockade@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Just scrape out the bottom of the deep fryer and put a wick in in, boom McCandle

I would use cigarettes as incense if it were safe and didn't leave a permanent stank

[–] TheReanuKeeves@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I was just shopping for essential oils and saw tobacco there

I actually don't like the smell of tobacco, oddly enough. I just like the way cigarette smoke smells lol

[–] limer@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 week ago

New computer scent
