I must sadly recuse myself from the giveaway (curse my sense of ethics!), but I can confirm that OP is indeed the Community Manager for Star Trek Resurgence at Dramatic Labs.
Good luck to everyone!

Good luck to everyone!
Just wanted to say it's really neat to have a giveaway for a Star Trek game here. :)
I know right? Really glad to see them embracing the Fediverse.
I enjoyed Star Trek 25th Anniversary and the first Starfleet Command with the latter being my favorite.
Anyone else first play Star Trek (1971)?
Oh, yes, one of my first DOS games, played it lots, but I donβt think I ever cleared the board. Always ended up running into three or four Klingon ships and getting blown up.
All the old point & clickers were good fun. The one I played the most was TNG A Final Unity. Nostalgia hitting pretty hard right now.
EXPERIENCE BIJ!
But in all seriousness I enjoyed a bunch of Voyager: Elite force and have been getting into Birth of the Federation lately :)
I was a big fan of the Elite Force games, but the one I enjoyed most was a DVD game from the mid to late 90s that doesnβt seem to exist. It was similar to the activision Zork games of the era, but Gowron was making Gowron eyes at the screen a lot; Iβm considering that Iβve merged two games I played together, and made a false memory, but honestly I donβt know what games those wouldβve been either.
Although not text based, there was a FMV game called Star Trek: Klingon (YouTube link to a longplay) where Gowron does a bunch of Gowron things.
See Iβm sure thatβs some of what Iβm remembering, but at least when I played Klingon about 2007 it didnβt seem to be the same game.
(Btw, the Acti Zork games are acted DVD graphical adventures, unlike their text based precursors. Worth a go if you can. )
Honestly, I have never played a Star Trek game, I've only watched the shows and some of the movies.
My favorite Star Trek game is the sims. Make sure you have a few people with the name redshirt. Make sure those people have low stats in cooking and make them do all the cleaning. See how long they last. Then have other people as the officers. They just play all the time and enjoy themselves.
I've actually never played any Star Trek games before - I think the closest I've gotten is Stellaris, which definitely made me think of star trek. I don't know if that disqualifies me, but I might pick this game up anyways, sounds like a good time right now.
I pleaded and got Star Trek: A Final Unity for my birthday one year. Even on my ancient Mac it was amazing. Like playing an episode of TNG.
Does modded stellaris count?
Man what games didn't I play as a kid.
There's probably some I'm forgetting. I'd have to say Armada 2, man I played so many hours of that game. Played around with mods as a kid too.
Star Trek Armada, hands down the best Star Trek game I've played. I do like the feeling of captaining my own ship in Online, nothing beats the feeling of winning a war via RTS.
And now that I'm older, and have seen more Treks, read more books, and have a much greater knowledge of all things Star Trek, I've been wanting to replay but I can't seem to locate my disc... I'll have to check my digital providers to see if I can find it most likely.
I'd love to see a modern take on a 4X Star Trek. Flavor mods for Stellaris and Sins of a Solar Empire don't cut it anymore.
By far my favourite ST game is 25th Anniversary from Interplay released in 1992. I grew up in the 70s so TOS was very near and dear to me. In 92 I was reviewing games right at the peak of CD ROM and MS DOS gaming and 25th Anniversary really typified the best of both by including beautiful VGA graphics and a fantastic soundtrack complete with actual sounds from the series and the entire cast in their signature roles. Playing it was like being in the show, nothing else has quite replicated that feeling because it was like the cast was putting on a performance just for me.
There was that old Voyager fps, Elite Force, that kicked ass.
I put a stupid amount of hours into Starfleet Command. Probably my all time favorite. I'm the kind of person who geeks out on power and shield management.
I played a lot of Sins of a Solar Empire and I mention that because there was a cool Star Trek mod for that game I played for a bit.
Lastly, I played STO for a couple years. Loved the story and space combat but man the ground missions a slog. Still I enjoyed that game a bunch.
I feel like I'm missing something but I can't think of any more.
The Star Trek mod for Sins got more play on my PC than Sins itself did. It is fantastic!
Starfleet Command 2 Klingon Academy Armada 1 & 2 Hidden Evil Elite Force 1 & 2 Final Unity Bridge Commander
I played them all to death! Such a good time.
Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force!! I both loved and hated that game
I grew up with Star Trek Elite Force 1 and 2, Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates, Armada 1 and 2, and Bridge Commander. All excellent games that I played many, many hours of.
I miss playing Star Trek Armada.
I got my Trekkie mom the Star Trek 25th Anniversary game for christmas, but I defitnely ended up playing it more myself!
As a Iong time ST fan I just way to say, this game was a great time. It was like I was playing through a ST episode, dilemma and all. Sending a ship to warp cinematically was something I never knew I wanted to do, but it was perfect.
A little past growing up but I played a lot of the Snes and Nes games. They had issues but once you figured out the gameplay loop they could be very fun!
I always loved the 92' version of Star trek the board game! Lots of good times, plus I just another box unopened from a garage sale! Want to break into it but I probably won't do this would be cool on PC!
The first Star Trek game I played was a shareware version of EGA Trek for DOS, which was also one of the first computer games I ever played.
I remember it would tell you a starbase was under attack and you would have to go there to defend it. One of my torpedoes missed and hit a star which made it go supernova, destroying the enemy ship. Fun times.
I honestly haven't played any Star Trek games. None really piqued my interest. This game, however, is one I'd like to check out. First time for everything!
First of all, thanks for the giveaway!
My first Star Trek game was actually Star Trek Online, but I'll probably always have a soft spot for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Crossroads of Time for the SNES.
I'm definitely happy to see Resurgence coming to Steam though, I don't buy from anyone except for them and GOG.
Growing up, I played mostly Armada 1/2 with a lot of Elite Force 1 and Bridge Commander (oh the mods!) thrown in.
I spent every afternoon after school and every weekend evening playing Armada. I still think it is my favorite RTS game, even beating Warcraft 3.
I clearly remember screaming a lot of "Ferengan Ha'DIbaH!" in the microphone for Star Trek: Klingon.
Oh man! I used to play the Star Trek: The Next Generation Echoes From the Past game on Sega Genesis. I was really young but loved flying the Enterprise around and pissing off the Romulans.
I played around with the Star Trek: Encyclopedia on PC which was fun and then much later on I play Star Trek Online now and again. It scratches that Star Trek itch to fly ships around and customize them. Great game but I'll never forget the times with that Sega game.
Never played any star trek games as a kid. Honestly the only one I played is bridge crew and it's awesome. Every once in a while I drum up some friends and we play it. It's a blast!
I liked the Elite Force games when I was a teen, but I grew up with and still love WinTrek! https://archive.org/details/win3_WinTrek
First game was Star Trek 25th anniversary. First game ever to make me feel like a real part of a new adventure!
Funny I never had much Star Trek gaming experience but have recently gotten into gaming more and been a lifelong Trek fan (maybe not an official Trekkie tho). this game looks pretty interesting and I'm now just learning about it since I also don't pay attention to the epic store!
Oh man, I would have to say Birth of the Federation, but I also love me some 25th Anniversary and A Final Unity. There was a stretch of some decent Star Trek games in the 90s!
Growing up there weren't a lot of Star Trek games. The closest thing I had was Trek on my IMSAI 8080 in the 70s as well as the Star Trek pinball game and then the Star Trek Arcade game in the early 80s.
In the mid 80s I tried Kobayashi Alternative which was a buggy mess that crashed perpetually, but did enjoy The Promethean Prophecy,
However the games after that overall just were pretty bad until Starfleet Command, in which I always enjoyed that series with III getting more hours than the rest. Elite Force series had some good (and bad) ones in it as well but nothing the RTS features of Starfleet Command always got me.
I started with Star Trek Birth of Federation played a lot with it. Later I really enjoyed Klingon Academy, Bridge Commander and Elite Force series. Armada was nice, but everyone else was playing Star Craft
I haven't actually played a real Star Trek game, but I did play Artemis Space Bridge Simulator, and that seemed really close. Super fun game if you have enough people to play it!
Favourites Star Trek: Birth of the Federation (Master of Orion, but it's Star Trek) and Klingon Honour Guard.
I used to play a lot of Star Trek Online, but honestly that really felt like a job once you reached the end game, a joyless experience that made me feel like I was wasting my life.
Growing up I wasn't really into Star Trek games sadly. I grew up with Voyager in it's initial run, but I didn't really play any games until Star Trek Online. However, that game I've played since it was a closed beta, and lifetime subscription.
I have only played Star Trek: Bridge Crew before, and I loved it and want to play more Star Trek games! Over the genre is great and the potential is endless.
Star Trek Academy comes to mind... Best part was winning the Kobayashi Maru mission π
I think I bought it as a bundle with a bunch of other games... Generations and DS9 Harbinger.
The Star Trek games I played growing up were 25th Anniversary (the ship battles were too complicated for 11yo me), later on I used my own pocket money and bought Final Unity. The Chodak are still a very cool alien race added to the universe. Loved those frog faces in space suits. :-)
Played and finished Elite Force and Armada. Earl Boehn (RIP) as a main villain was a moment of teenage glee being such a massive T2 and TNG nerd.
Interested in Resurgence, my husband recently played it on his PS5 but I donβt go near that machine. π
Star Trek 25th for me, still love it
