- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

It's like sitting in the middle of a crowded ER bleeding out and begging for help while 2 doctors argue with each other about the proper protocol they should proceed with before they even begin to stop the bleeding.
A patient could escape from the psych ward, walk by and just point out how fucked up the situation is, and you would probably be grateful somebody is at least willing to acknowledge reality and trust him more than either doctor.
Aka: No politics, just vibes.

I think they meant the politicians themselves.
Nope, the voters. They couldn’t care less about the policies, they just vote based on the vibes of the candidates.
Well, The politicians too
Yes and no. This ultimately a desire for their elected representatives to just fucking do something, and both Trump and Mamdani promised to do things that will make their lives better. Obviously one of these is a grift, but that's beside the point.
And yet this lesson will be completely lost to established DNC, and they will learn the wrong lesson again and move further to the right.
Meanwhile we'll get another Trump who promises Great Things whereas Democrats will promise to keep things the same.
We desperately need a new political party that can push people who want change to vote progressive.
Realistically, there are two possible explanations for why the Democrats are so stubbornly useless:

You can't get a man to understand something when his salary depends on not understanding it.
Either way the idea that they could "learn" anything fundamentally misunderstands why they do what they do. Their job isn't to get into power; it's to make sure you don't get into power.

Mamdani and his allies see their success winning over a segment of Trump voters as a sign of how other Democrats can win back parts of the electorate that spurned the party for Trump in 2024, including young men and immigrants who felt the party was unresponsive to their needs. But Republicans who spoke to NBC News said that while they were surprised by both the number of Trump-Mamdani voters and the congeniality of the president’s meeting with the mayor-elect, they did not feel as if Mamdani unlocked a road map to reconfigure the electorate.
Republicans: no no no no, Democrats don't try this!!! Trust me bro I'm totally looking out for you. Don't try this. Keep moving to the right, keep chasing our voters I swear it will work next time! Don't give up now! (Hehehe suckers...)
