The users are revolting? Well, fucking finally. Ygg was in general a shockingly hostile service. I made a profile, downloaded a torrent, left it seeding, and quickly got banned with no explanation whatsoever. Many other people reported similar experiences, completely nonsensical self-destructive behaviour from the admins. So this is hopefully an opportunity for French pirates to start anew on a healthier basis.

(I left the torrent seeding even after being banned, and it would still upload to Ygg users... but I limited my upload to 1 kbps, lol. It's pretty rare so I should upload it to a normal tracker one of these days.)

It's probably an exit scam... I send a message to support team because I have uploaded more than 15 torrents and the turbo mode is not active. No response

~~Their forum went totally blank~~ and all current torrents are only from people who already have the uploader status...

Sad seeing the biggest French piracy tracker going down like this... Alot of rare/hard to find things are just going to disappear :/

What have we learned? Not to put all eggs in the same basket !

Why would they propose free turbo mode with uploader status if it was an exit scam? I personally don't think they will bother to do so since they are the largest pt by far, I would see a scam like that for small pt that are not able to get bigger. They probably received so much new uploaders status that they can't keep up right now, according to their saying they are also writing new API. That being said, ygg team have never been seen as nice people but that was the same for t411 (most are probably from t411 anyway)

I hope i'm wrong ! If i'm wrong I will probably only download rare things and upload them on another tracker without seeding back to them...

This is totally anti-piracy mentality... And their arguments to block bots, multi-account and non seeders are just bullshit...

They had just to code the same thing every tracker does... SEEDING TIME and BONUS points ! People asked for years for such an implementation... But here we are with another paywall...

I've been banned from Ygg with "OUST" message also, I was just seeding some releases I already had to build up ratio on a relatively new account. New account start with a 10Gb upload and you need to keep ratio over 1 to get torrent link. I've been banned once I reached ~50Gb upload... I just hope French piracy will move away from those rats and find a better and more open torrent website.
