Bird is slang for women.

I can only imagine Bee is for men because "penis = stinger?" 🤷‍♂️

What if I ain't got no penis due to an unfortunate gold smelting accident?

[–] prettybunnys@piefed.social 42 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Traditionally birds = women because they make nests

Bees = men because they pollinate.

Please do disregard the fact that bees make hives/nests AND birds pollinate

It's impossible for me to forget that all bees (& wasps & ants) are order HYMENOPERTA, literally named for them being 99% virgin females

So I am totally stumped.

Hymen means membrane. -ptera is wing. They have membranous wings, and no carapace like beetles. Not named due to virginity.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Hymenoptera* 🤭

Worker bees are female. Male bees only hang around the queen for sex.

Do you give out quests to worthy adventurers?

In the USA, will I be deported to El Salvador for picking the wrong one?

[–] ClownStatue@piefed.social 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Depends on which state this happens in. The south? Absolutely!

[–] OpenStars@piefed.social 11 points 1 week ago

I'll just bring a few essentials with me...

The real silver lining of them wanting to start being able to deport American citizens is if they do it en masse, El Salvador will end up full of physicists, doctors, professors, etc and be catapulted into a futuristic utopia.

The year is 2113. I've just graduated top of my class at the Santa Muerte penal colony in El Salvador. Like my classmates, I will begin my mission to find any remaining survivors in the North American wastelands next week.

Plot twist.

They're both just unisex single bathrooms

[–] MyDarkestTimeline01@ani.social 19 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Honest question: how is this not the solution to the whole "trans bathroom" barking? It solves literally every issue for both sides.

[–] craftrabbit@lemmy.zip 28 points 1 week ago (6 children)

I love bouldering. In my bouldering gym they have labelled the bathrooms with "bathroom" and "bathroom & urinal" and it works beautifully. I can definitely see that not working out in some other places though.

You forgot the actual issue. The cruelty is the point. They don't want us to have a bathroom at all, that way they can murder/rape/arrest/harass us when we use the rublic restrooms.

[–] Triasha@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

This is the real reason. They want us confined to basements, closets, or graves.

[–] knexcar@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (6 children)

Unisex bathrooms have a worse capacity-to-space ratio compared to regular ones - aka they can’t handle as many people. Which means they’re not a suitable replacement for places with a high volume of bathroom visits.

[–] possumparty@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 week ago

in most Nordic countries, they don't care about gendered bathrooms in a large number of places. the solution is easy- extend the doors lower and higher on the stalls. they also don't have a problem with seat pissers for whatever reason

[–] MummysLittleBloodSlut@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You're thinking of single occupancy bathrooms. Unisex bathrooms have the same capacity as segregated

Because public toilets in the US come with bathroom stalls that have doors with gaps. So everbody can see the people who are sitting on the toilets.

I genuinely hope this is the real answer.

[–] Opisek@piefed.blahaj.zone 42 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The good ending: They both lead to the same room

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 29 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Hopefully the room has a toilet in it.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 week ago

Both men's and women's restrooms will have a toilet. Actually the women's will have more.

[–] bonenode@piefed.social 4 points 1 week ago

Sir, this is a Wendy's (also with no toilet...)

Is it good because we do hand stuff? Eew.

But I'm in.

[–] homes@piefed.world 35 points 1 week ago

If they can’t bother to label their doors correctly, then they clearly won’t mind which one I go into.

[–] Nusm@peachpie.theatl.social 26 points 1 week ago

I’m whichever one doesn’t have anybody in it! Not my problem that they can’t label the doors clearer.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 24 points 1 week ago (6 children)

Normally bees are female, right? Worker drones are sterile female, and only when it's queen swarm time do males get hatched.

But honestly, as long as the stalls are enclosed, who the hell cares? We all have to do our business, and it doesn't matter who is in the room or other stalls.

It's because birds have cloaca just like human women.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Oh shit, will my stinger fall off if I, umm, sting someone?

I kind love these. It's a little taste for the rest of us what a few of us must feel almost every time they enter a public bathroom.

I ran into one and I felt afraid I would be judged for choosing a room that others didn't expect me to.

So I rehearsed a quick meaningless apology and took a guess.

No one actually bothered me, but it was still a little stressful.

And then I thought, "Oh, that's what it feels like."

I also learned the same place had plenty of other bathrooms clearly labeled in a "for use by anyone" manner. So I guess if I had chickened out, I could still have found those.

[–] BananaPeal@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 week ago

Go in one and make your decision based on whether or not you see urinals.

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 10 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Obviously birds are women, so so are Queen Bs. Just go on the floor outside.

[–] PhAzE@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 week ago

Birds lay eggs, like women do Monthly.

Bees pollinate everything, like men do.

I'm making this up completely. Did I guess right?
