If you're posting to world news. You're responsible for catering to a world audience.
why is it my responsibility to educate the world on every detail in my post? i am starting to feel very uncomfortable on this platform by the ridiculous rules i have to abide by. i am being criticised on my punctuation, lack of use of capitals, avebriations, which posts to post where, use of hashtags. i mean why seems everyone so uptight about it all? and on top i can't find any way to update my password so i can't login on other devices as my password doesn't work anymore for some reason. i really don't understand this platform.
These aren't rules. What's happening is that you're new to the site and are making some mistakes as a result of a lack of familiarity, which people are noticing. Which is fine. Nobody's pissed at you, so don't take it too seriously.

I don't know if the site you signed up on works the way Beehaw does, but since it's still Lemmy, you should be able to change your password on the right side of the user settings page, which for Beehaw is at https://beehaw.org/settings and so I'd assume a simple, similar URL would be available for your instance.
