Elicit is probably the word you mean, unless you're using a pun to make a point that AI "art" is illicit.
you're right, but nah, but I'll just leave it as is because I'll make as much effort as pollock or the banana guy put into their craft
It's cool, I just like to point out these things in case one day you need it correct on a resumé or for a crossword puzzle or something
With AI art, it consumes others art and regurgitates AI art. Did the guy just become AI?

Turns out the real art was chewing up AI slop all along!

The headline makes it sound like he only did this to one piece of art, but he was much busier than that:

The term “AI psychosis” has been used by health professionals to describe a troubling phenomenon in which users of AI tools are experiencing symptoms of psychosis or delusional episodes. Experts have raised concerns over the trend, warning that more and more people could be caught up in these delusions as they become hooked on AI chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
In extreme cases, these tools have been alleged to have led to numerous deaths, including the suicide of a 16-year-old.
Dwyer told The Sun Star that he had fallen into AI psychosis himself, turning to art to portray the experience.

Yeah this is a fascinating phenomenon I'm noticing that people who experience it seem to keep using ai, even though it caused them to lose touch with reality
Going and making an art exhibit is actually worse case scenario because he is actively "selling" the idea that it is a net good for society.
AI art is art the same way a $20 stainless steel "ninja" katana from a flea market is a genuine sword
The AI-generated exhibit was about the dangers of AI psychosis, though it did not address indigestion.

I can definitely understand why he was driven to do this. Fire is much faster, more thorough, and has much less risk of ingesting toxic substances, but can easily get out of control and damage real art or people's health. Teeth are the better tools here.

The artist's reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/aiwars/comments/1qcektc/my_art_in_a_gallery_show_was_destroyed_over_ai/, which includes real pictures alongside some photorealistic AI generated depictions of the art being chewed up. He disclosed in the post text which of the pictures those are and which are real, but of course some people in the comments didn't read that and took discrepancies in the images to mean that the whole event was faked. Which is pretty brilliant if intentional, fits well with the "ChatGPT psychosis" topic of the original piece. Might have gotten slightly out of hand though since these images are now featured in screenshot of screenshot style posts that lack the context that it's not a real picture.
I also like the memes people are making about it, overall a very entertaining event.
