I don't even send one to my significant other/partner/spouse.

Yup, it's nice being married to someone who gets that it's a fake holiday made up by corporations to sell things.

That's what Hallmark pays me for. Shit, uh, I mean, you're welcome internet stranger

Not even to my SO. Quite some time ago we discussed it and agreed that we won't be giving gifts for "celebratory dates" (i.e. Valentine's, Christmas, birthdays). We instead give each other gifts at any point in time, just because we felt like it. No pressure for buying gifts in advance and instead we get very usual "Hey I saw this and thought of you" all year long.

My wife and I give little things for celebratory dates, but never huge things over $50. We generally operate on the "You're an adult, buy what you want, just don't be crazy." It's worked so far 🤞

I buy all of my kids a Valentine's card every year and some small treat, like candy. My mom always got me something small and while I always said I didn't care with the maturity of an adult looking back I appreciate those things. I hope I am forming the same fond memories for my children.

I always got valentines from my mom, and sent them to her as well. I also give them to my cat.

I don't even send him gifts. He doesn't like getting them, and I'm broke anyway.

No. To me, it's a day strictly for romantic relationships. Sending gifts to anyone else would feel weird.

I have a coworker who really likes those strong cinnamon jelly beans called cinnamon lovers or some shit. I regularly supply my other coworker with gum since I'd rather him chew gum than tobacco. It's Valentine's candy but not a Valentine's gift.

Valentines day

I remember that it is somewhere around these days.... but I don't care.

My SO's birthday is also around these days, and that's what matters. The other is just made by some industry's sales department.
