The president later added, "And just, you know, because I don't want to have a terrible story about this. I did it for him first and for the vote second. But it was a close second, actually. But I did it for the vote second."

Florida Rep. Neal Dunn faced a terminal illness and that he had helped him get lifesaving care because he liked him but also "needed his vote."

All these months of people insisting Trump is on death's door and the breaking story is about a hack Congressman with a treatable condition. Lolz.

This is a clear example of a person that has no empathy whatsoever.

See, no sane person would smile while exposing a person death sentence to the whole world.

The fact that this deranged person was elected as president, is a clear sign that our society is sick.

Let's hope it survives enough to find a cure...

In that interview trump looked like a six year old that had been told a secret and couldn't wait to tell everyone else what it was.

When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different.

Donald Trump

I've known 6 years olds with more self awareness and consideration than Trump.

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

I've known 6 year olds with more bowel control than trump too.

Something broke in Trumps brain when he was a child. Had to have.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

If you read his niece's book that's basically the book. IIRC he was raised about as badly as you can, being given no love and only receiving approval for displaying strength. The family is reminiscent of the Kennedys except the Kennedys weren't expected to be bullies to anyone but their kids, they just had to be exceptional.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Except that one Kennedy who was locked up in an asylum...

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

She was lobotomized, my money is on her not having deserved it.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 1 points 36 minutes ago

She was mouthy..apparent that was more than enough. 🙃

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 2 points 5 hours ago

His mom said his brain was broken since birth.

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 24 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

Yeah that's Trump. He uses anything and everything to his advantage. He doesn't understand boundaries, that's why he can fuck children in their holes. Yes, I said it. Read it again Americans and know your shame.

Somehow this hasn't had him removed from office so I think Americans need to be reminded how absolutely evil and disgusting their president is how fucked it is the Republicans keep him in power.

[–] immutable@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 hours ago

It’s even worse.

There’s no advantage here. He said this to have a fleeting moment of feeling special because he knew something private and had the power to reveal it.

That’s it. That’s all he got out of this, for a second he got to feel like a big man, and that was enough to smile and tell everyone someone else private medical information.

See how important I am, I know something not everyone else knows. Sure it’s terrible news for that guy, but I’m not that guy so why would I give a fuck. He said he would stay and lick my boots up until his death, so I guess the only real tragedy is at some point he will die and I’ll need to find a new person to lick my boots.

That’s what’s flowing through trumps rotten brain

[–] I_Jedi@lemmy.today 11 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Ah, but you are mistaken. Many Americans see Trump as a role model, and would kill to be him. The man who can do any Bad Thing, and get away with it.

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 6 points 11 hours ago

That would explain their allegiance for sure. King of the Pedophiles.

Trump first said he wouldn't mention the lawmaker's name before turning to Johnson and telling him to share the story, saying the House member they were discussing would "be proud."

"Okay, well. Thank you, Mr. President. Congressman Neal Dunn of Florida had had some real health challenges, and it was very serious, and had had a pretty grim diagnosis. And I mentioned it to the president and I said, 'Congressman Dunn is a real champion and a patriot because he's still coming to work, and if others got this diagnosis, they would be apt to go home and retire,'" Johnson said.

Trump then pressed Johnson to say what the diagnosis was, and Johnson replied, "It was, I mean, I think it was a terminal diagnosis."

"He would be dead by June," Trump said bluntly.

"Okay, that wasn’t public," Johnson responded.

Wow. Just wow.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 4 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Dunn should retire immediately and force a special election just to spite Trump.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 1 points 2 hours ago

yeah I mean you have months to live and your going to spend it sucking dick.

[–] chunkystyles@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

People in Congress are so alien. Staying in office until they literally die of old age.

If I had months to live I wouldn't be working.

[–] LucidNightmare@anarchist.nexus 1 points 2 hours ago

Gotta get that agenda through!

[–] plz1@lemmy.world 59 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

And this is why your workplace has no business knowing your personal health issues. If you're going to miss work, so be it, but they didn't need to know Dunn has a terminal diagnosis with less than 6 months to live.

[–] ryannathans@aussie.zone 5 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

In this specific case and in the absence of all other information it sounds like the Whitehouse doctors saved the dude's life?

[–] FaceDeer@fedia.io 12 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Doctors should be keeping information like that private, regardless of who they're employed by.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 17 points 14 hours ago

They probably did. This dumbfuck probably told trump himself, and was surprised that he didn't have any regard for him or his plans, emotions, family, whatever the fuck else.

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 21 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (4 children)

On another note. I wonder what Republicans like Mike Johnson would do if Trump asked to fuck their children. Think they'd finally grow a spine? Or would they let him rape their kids, too, and keep supporting him? Kind of fucked up this is legitimately possible from the POTUS.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago

I think Johnson would fuck his own children if trump demanded he do it.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 4 points 9 hours ago

Trump used to proposition the wives of his "friends" and most of them didn't regard that as a dealbreaker.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 8 points 11 hours ago

Weird to imagine him asking first. But yes, conservatives always understand a problem the instant it affects them personally. They just compartmentalize so well they never see it coming.

[–] Elroc@lemmus.org 5 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Like he would ask, he would just rape them like he always does.

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

Good point. Maybe he finds them alone when they visit the white house, Trump doesn't ask, he just does it, I hear they let you when you're the president.

[–] BillyClark@piefed.social 12 points 12 hours ago

Trump said he got the White House doctors involved, who he called "miracle workers."

This puts a bad thought in my head, because Trump really only ever thinks about himself, so why would he be able to have a thought like this?

What if Trump said that because he himself had a terminal diagnosis, and he'd be dead by now if not for the treatment he receives only because he's president? Like, if America hadn't voted for him in 2024, our Donald Trump problem might have solved itself by now.

[–] Theprogressivist@lemmy.world 32 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

And Johnson had to sit there and eat shit while smiling. What a good lap dog.

[–] bradinutah@thelemmy.club 41 points 16 hours ago

The most blatant lie in this clip is that the Donvict did it for the vote second. If it were up to him, there would be no Congress at all. And he wouldn't care whatever happened to any of them as people. It's just like the gravity he demonstrates when the White House Press corp ask him questions about our military coming back in body bags. How much money he's making personally supercedes the spilling of the blood of the "chumps" in the military. Think of all the Americans that will die this year for his greed to not let them be covered with affordable health care.
