Home Depot uses Flock ALPR cameras to track you. This information is sold to advertisers, highest bidders, and is given to cops and feds for free. Source

They come pre-oxidized? Damn that's a real Time Saver

[–] Munkisquisher@lemmy.nz 9 points 2 months ago

Pre seasoned

[–] kbobabob@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 months ago

Don't they all come pre-oxidized? That's why you have to use the wire brush to scrape it off before soldering.

Someone put a home detail apron.

AI can probably do better than my budget-tier GIMP skills, but here ya go

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 36 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I think artisanal GIMP has more meme heart anyway.

[–] FauxLiving@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

I tried ~~MS Paint~~ KolourPaint, as is tradition, but removing the background without layers was too much effort

[–] FrChazzz@lemmus.org 5 points 2 months ago

The jank is always part of the charm.

[–] teslekova@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 months ago

Nope, this is perfect. AI is completely wrong for shitposting. You chose well.

Also it's actually a pretty solid job.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 28 points 2 months ago

That's it! I need to invent writing.

These look like the workings of Obvious Plant

[–] aldhissla@piefed.world 5 points 2 months ago

The logo on the bottom left suggests it was made by the True Wagner (legboot.com)

[–] DoubleDongle@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago

Sometimes I could use some of these to convince the inspector I didn't touch the plumbing.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago

Consider yourself lucky, I couldn't even get any fittings, my store was so overrun by fucking Sea People.

Looks like these are already expired.

[–] thisbenzingring@lemmy.today 5 points 2 months ago

only MMLII years past the expiration, what could be the problem?

[–] Pacattack57@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

We had a minor freeze last year. I went to Home Depot and the last piece of pipe insulation was very mangled and the adhesive was falling off. I asked the clerk if they would discount it for me since all I needed was about 1 ft but would buy the damaged parts at a discount.

They got a supervisor who argued with me that “it’s suppose to be like that”. Like brother I’m trying to help y’all get this damaged product off the shelf. I’ll happily pay full price for undamaged product. We argued for about 5 minutes before he went to the back and brought me a piece from a brand new box.

My dad collects coins, so I'm getting this for his birthday.

This might be the most scholarly shitpost I've ever read. Bravo to everyone involved.

[–] Bluewing@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

I don't know what your problem is. You need to sand those fittings bright and shiny before you solder them anyway....

[–] PacMan@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 months ago

Pretreated to fit into with your old pipes! No one will ever know you did work

[–] metakrakalaka@lemmychan.org 6 points 2 months ago

So, fun fact. This is apparently called "Patina." It's the same thing that's on the statue of liberty, and funner fact, it actually makes it stronger!

[–] ea_nasir@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

What's the issue here? That's just a protective coating to keep the high-quality copper underneath safe during shipping and handling.
