I like my paella without everyone's hair in it.

Tbh, virtually imposible to distinguish from shrimp hair

Staple grain + A lot of things mixed together is my favorite food gender.

Looks delicious, but there's no way I'd order from them. So I get my food, and then get to prepare it while it's too hot to touch? So I need to wait for it to cool down to extract the mussel, and shell the shrimp. And then I get to eat lukewarm paella. It bothers me to have to shell food that's been cooked, but know not everyone is neurotic as me.

β€œExtract the mussel” you mean use a fork to pick the tender meat out of an open shell? I don’t know how you will manage.

The shrimp, I can definitely see your point. I don’t want to get my hands dirty.

Have you had a mussel that the separated from the shell just by stabbing it and then picking it up? I've always had to hold the shell in place while doing so. Which gets the sauce on my hands, which is functionally not that different than peeling the shrimp that will "get my hands dirty", at least in my mind. And I could manage it all just fine, if I wanted to, but clearly do not.

Well, that looks amazing.

Also, as a Fawlty Towers fan, I'm just grateful there's not a huge fight going on upon the making of such. XD

Wait, are those shrimp really that huge?

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 8 points 22 hours ago

I think those are prawn, which are like shrimp but big

[–] notsosure@sh.itjust.works 4 points 21 hours ago

The people were a bit smaller than usual and I used a wide angle lens.

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Can you put it in a burrito?

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 5 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (1 children)

There's no law against it, but the starch ratio might be off

I’m getting in line!

I had paella on the south coast of Spain. It was... Food. It was aight. I can make better food myself. And I'm not exactly a good chef.
