You’re going to see more ICE agents than you’ve ever seen before.

Wouldn't it be something to see a New Yorker just walk up to an ICE agent and shoot them in the head? It seems to be what they're trying to provoke. We already have 2 characters from Mario Party.

We have Luigi

and

Warehouse Luigi

Wonder who would be next. Warrio?

Literally everything the administration does is rape-coded.

"Oh, you don't want these people in your city harassing your citizens and you've gone through the trouble of making laws with intent to enforce to prevent it from happening? Well then we're just going to do what you don't like even harder then!"

Literally everything is "oh people don't like it well here's more of it then since you don't like it" when it comes to these asshats.

It's way beyond "the cruelty is the point" by now.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah, it's just straight up fascism. They don't care how it makes people feel so long as it sets a precedent.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

And people still go "oh this gonna lose them votes". They don't give a fuck about votes at this point. Democracy is over

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

You know, I never looked at it that way, but it's absolutely true.

These people just think they're entitled to rape everything and everyone. Literally and figuratively.

[–] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

I had always hoped that my work life would be my most abusive relationship.

At this point I'm half expecting someone to charter flights and deport captured ICE agents.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 84 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Bluffing. They couldn't even handle Minneapolis.

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.blahaj.zone 60 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not only couldn't they handle us, our anarchists taught NYC anarchists how we resisted. We walked so they can run.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Is ICE still gone from Minneapolis? Or, did they pause, wait for the anger to die down, and now they operate with impunity?

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.blahaj.zone 40 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

They truly did draw down. I don't know the actual number anymore, but it's somewhere around 100 - 200. They're still out here kidnapping people, but the resistance is still ongoing. In fact, the contractor providing fences for the Whipple building is pulling out, so now ICE has no barrier

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 4 points 1 day ago

They should have made the fences with a critical weak point that they leak to resistance groups.

No fence just means the gestapo will look for another contractor.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 32 points 2 days ago

And they're struggling to find parking in Manhattan after the owner of the garage they had been leasing decided not to renew the contract.

Why does everyone compare this to rape... it's just having masked men thrust onto you without consent --oh right I see it now

[–] Microtonal_Banana@lemmy.zip 34 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Thats a great way to unify a city of almost 9 million people against a common enemy. Try it.

[–] GraniteM@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not to mention the vast majority of the rest of America. In movies, if you want to have visual shorthand for "America," you probably use NYC more often than Washington DC, and certainly more often than any other candidates like LA or Chicago. In real life, we treated the 9/11 attacks on New York as an attack on the United States, and just about collectively forgot that there was also a plane that hit the fucking Pentagon.

As far as the popular collective imagination is concerned, New York City is America. Attack that and see what happens.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

I've always found it weird how nobody talks about the plane hitting the pentagon on 9/11

[–] mikenurre@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The party that not only refuses to seek consent, but aggressively attacks those who refuse consent. AKA Rapists. Release the Trump-Epstein files!

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

And what's going to happen when they release the files? I've never understood this. Is the expectation that they will then be held accountable for their crimes? They won't. There isn't some magic head authority person who is going to come in and revoke their power if it's shown they're guilty of more crimes

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 28 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Wouldn't it be something to see a New Yorker just walk up to an ICE agent and shoot them in the head?

I don't know what you're talking about. His head just spontaneously did that on its own.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 18 points 2 days ago

Heck of a thing.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

They don't give a damn about their reputation

[–] EvilBit@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

It’s a classic scene from The Warriors. He’s saying “Warriorrrrs, come out to plaaaaayyyyaaaayyy…”

[–] LostCarcosan@lemmy.today 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's a movie about a gang called the Warriors trying to get home, running through other gang controlled territories. This is a scene with the main antagonist taunting the Warriors, asking them to come out to play so his gang can attempt to beat/kill them. It's a pretty good movie called The Warriors

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 6 points 2 days ago

Can you dig it?

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 17 points 2 days ago (11 children)

There are millions of people in NYC, just flood the streets wherever they show up. They will probably be able to run over a few protestors but if thousands are in the street it will slow down even the most murderous goon.

Trump’s border czar threatens to flood New York with ICE agents BECAUSE OF Resistance

FTFY

[–] Blibly@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago (5 children)

The evil within really does on a number on their looks, eh? Just look at these ugly vampires. If you cast them as themselves in a movie people would be like "Idk the ghoulish makeup was a little bit much right!?"

Those poor poor ICE agents 🤣

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Do not pity them. They'd get what they deserve.

[–] Freefall@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

That's the joke...zero pity here.

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Just start blasting, they are going to kill you anyway you might as well take some with you.

[–] bradinutah@thelemmy.club 4 points 2 days ago

"How about New York?" "Well, there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn’t advise you to try to invade."
