This is, bar none, my favourite game. It is so wonderful. You need to be the kind of person who enjoys exploring for its own sakeiin games, but if you are then play this

I just love flying my ship around exploring the solar system.

AVOID SPOILERS. DO NOT READ ABOUT THIS GAME JUST PLAY IT.

One of the best gamer's games of all time.

Grab the DLC while you're at it. Just as good as the base game.

Heed the advice on the first screen and play it with a controller. Really.

for the best experience DON'T INSTALL THE DLC UNTIL YOU'VE FINISHED THE BASE GAME

If you like free and unprompted exploration, this is the game for you! Don't look up too much, try it out and use the 2 hour return policy if you are not intrigued by it.

Just a friendly reminder: friction will not slow you down in space ;)

There are parts of this game I find so challenging but the vibe and musical elements are worth experiencing even if this game normally isn’t your jam.

This is a new all-time-low isn't it? Never seen it below 40% before.

It's the same price I got it for on Epic back when it wasn't on Steam. Felt like theft for how good it is.

Played this, while my kids are watching. They got scared about the physics and outer space experience. I am not allowed to play it again.

This game is still a deal even at 200% cost.

I have tried to play this game thrice, and never made it more than 45 minutes in.

Tap for spoilerTo the crust planet. Then trying to fly off into the void before getting bored

I know people love it, but i have not figured that part out after two hours of gameplay. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

The key thing to the game is it's a metroidvania, but your upgrades are knowledge. If you don't know how to do something, look somewhere else for more information.

Also, don't just land on a planet and wander around. You're wasting your time. Fly around them and look for something interesting and land there. Most of the time it'll lead to you learning something new. If it doesn't, try again next time.

The game starts slow, because you don't know what's going on. It ramps up pretty quickly though. You just need a few points of interest first. Literally just go anywhere and find a structure or something and start exploring. Everything is incredibly intentional. There's almost nothing to gain where it doesn't look like there's something, so go where there's a structure or something that looks intentional.

You lack context.

The blue explosion you see at the start. Go there. See what you can find.

The thing about outer wilds is that you can explore it in any order you want.

The only thing stopping you from doing certain things is just the knowledge. There's no "you have to beat this boss so that part of the map opens". If you know how to do it, you can do it.

If you find a part challenging, you can go explore another place, it may give you information that would help you in the part you couldn't explore before.
