People who pray are also the only people fighting the zionist child-killing rapist occupiers. What is this post even?

Are you saying it is having some effect??

[–] ViscloReader@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

Yup, splashing water everywhere

[–] Astrealix@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I mean, placebo, I suppose

More like confirmation bias. People only remember when their prayers "solved" a situation that surely wouldn't resolve itself either way, but forget the million others where it failed.

the trick is, it's never a failure. It's God's plan.

If your child beats cancer, praise God! Prayers answered.

if your child dies of cancer, praise God! Prayers answered. The answer was NO

I mean sure, but also placebo effect is a real measured psychological effect

So even assuming there's no supernatural stuff, placebo would exist for people who genuinely believed in religion

No no, world problems are water. Just ignore them and they will surely go away.

they say "thoughts & prayers" but it's just prayers
