Thinking about it? Sometimes.
do human brains have a recursion depth limit?
Linguistically: yes, and it's typically attributed to a working memory constraint.
The quotes make it feel like it’s being sarcastic about the suggestion.
Because those aren't the literal brain, vat, etc.; those are the representations of those things in the brain's conscience, hence the quotes.
It's the same concept as The Treachery of Images, "This is not a pipe"
Me: please brain I just wanna get stuff done today.
