Obviously the elephant is standing far in the background, else the elephant would be scared of the mouse.
What of its a Rodent Of Unusual Size?
Why are you assuming the rodent is of unusual size? It could be the rodent, could be the elephant, could be both. As stationary observers in a vacuum, we simply cannot know how big these are relative to anything else.
Even the text could be in rodent-point font.

Fun fact: An average adult mouse weighs less than 1 banana, and an average adult elephant weighs more than 1 banana.
I could be mistaken, but I believe that means an elephant weighs more than a mouse. 🤷
