I have never abused a woman. I have never been with an underage woman. I have never engaged in sex trafficking,” Black plans to tell members of the House Oversight Committee, according to his opening remarks. “I have never paid Epstein for access to women. I was never blackmailed by Epstein. I was not involved with, and had no knowledge of, any of Epstein’s heinous conduct.

Uh-huh...

I have never paid Epstein for access to women.

Should we clarify that calling it a gratuity does not change the nature of the transaction; still paid.

I have never paid Epstein for access to women

Boys or men it is, then, thanks for clearing it up for us.

No one believes them. They seem more suspect in denying it. Billionaires really aren't very smart at all.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

They don't see the problem in raping the children of the poors. We're just chattle to them.

"Underage women". They're called girls, you pedophile.

It's completely possible wealthy people associated with Epstein had nothing to do with the sex trafficking. Maybe they kept it to normal insider trading and fraud stuff.

This guy has been separately accused of rape by multiple women, and though I don't have his full statement, he seems to suggest the release of the Epstein files were bad and caused him to be improperly implicated. I'm gonna guess he didn't just keep it to the fraud stuff.

what the hell did he pay Epstein over $100 million dollars for?!

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 5 points 1 day ago

Maybe he's just a terrible investor that doesn't research what he's investing in.

[–] tomiant@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago

I mean clearly the pedo parties and girls weren't the main attraction, the global corruption and fraud was, you don't pay a hundred million to have sex with children, that's the afterparty once the deals went through.

Yes, of course we all continue conducting totally legit business with known pedophiles. No problem as long as we don't see it happening to someone we know personally.
