Sounds like a normal guinness world record. They're the people to call if you have money and feel the need to have your name on something.

The YT channel BigTime beat the world record for assembling a Jeep but won’t be in the book because they refused to pay for it.

They made their own book of records instead.

Seems fair that there would be some cost, like an administration fee. They need to get someone out there to check everything. If it was free, everyone and their mother would try to do a record. I'm not sure if they're asking for anything beyond that?

Apparently it’s pretty crazy. Plus they got the attempt on camera so who’s gonna argue?

Picture that with a Kodak.

[–] Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

Or better yet, take a picture of a Kodak with a Kodak

I love that he went thru w/ the 4chan trolling of sending him to Kodiak Alaska to do a concert. Seem like a genuinely nice dude.

Unfortunately InternetHistorian is an asshole who plagiarises and hides nazi-dogwhistles in his videos

What are you, a connoisseur?

[–] XeroxCool@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Give him a break. He's a little bit tired, a little bit WIRED, and I THINK, he deserves a little respect

Guess he needed to be famous for something because his music is fucking shite.

In my humble opinion.

[–] kinkles@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 week ago

you are aware he is famous without your opinion and without this record right?

[–] CmdrShepard49@sh.itjust.works 18 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I want to hate the guy for his music too, but he seems like a stand up guy from what I've seen so articles like this (or when he had an online poll for where to have a concert and the internet picked Alaska but he still went).

[–] lectricleopard@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

Yeah, better person than al lot of people in entertainment, from what I can tell.

I dont care for his music, but it's just not my taste. People need to stop thinking there's an objectively correct opinion of everything. Internet is rotting our brains.

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I remember someone asking him about that and he says he just makes club music for the money.

[–] shweddy@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

you probably listen to skrillex unironically
