Pringles not handling passwords correctly!? I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

[–] Gork@sopuli.xyz 6 points 23 hours ago

Is my cantenna compromised?

[–] slaacaa@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

That’s it, I’m cancelling my Pringles+ subscription and switching to another cloud service provider

To get all their mails

~(Although I prefer IMAP over POP)~

[–] cRazi_man@europe.pub 16 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Pop does not refer to email. It refers to Pop_OS

@wholookshere @cRazi_man pop is long forgoten xD
email space on providers is not a issue this days and imap is useful to have email across devices

[–] gandalf_der_12te@feddit.org 1 points 20 hours ago

well i used POP protocol like 3 years ago in a python script because it was actually easier than IMAP.

[–] wholookshere@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Oh I know lol. Its why I clairified for those younger than me lol.

[–] okwhateverdude@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Explaining POP is like explaining rotary phones now, grampa

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

Obviously it refers to the act of popping from a stack.

[–] TomMasz@piefed.social 20 points 1 day ago (1 children)

How else will you learn about the latest artificially flavored manufactured potato and starch chip simulacrum?

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 day ago

I host my infrastructure on pringles cloud.

[–] Natanael@slrpnk.net 6 points 1 day ago

One you pop (one account) you can't stop

[–] yesman@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

I wonder how many people use the same password for email, bank, and Pringles.com. As much as I hate two factor auth, I gotta remember how dismal the security of passwords is in the wild.

[–] underscores@lemmy.zip 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I've moved a lot of stuff from Google but it is funny to get an email then check what got leaked and it's like "schoolexambank.com" password "apples"is leaked

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Well if you don't use that email and password anywhere else that's quite a relief

[–] Turret3857@infosec.pub -5 points 1 day ago (2 children)

was this stolen from reddit cuz I'm pretty sure I just saw this while scrolling redlib

[–] gandalf_der_12te@feddit.org 15 points 1 day ago

i'm not sure, i got it from mastodon
