TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

Joke's on him, they're all Odo.
Star Trek Guess Who would go hard.
"Is their character played by the actor Jeffrey Combs?"
“Do they spend more than 2 hours in makeup?”
... Does he fuck?
Actual fun way to play guess who. You can't ask any questions about their physical appearance, only ask about guesses about them.
"do they have grandkids?"
"do they have a full time job?"
"do they regularly see a therapist?"
It's hectic and chaotic but way more fun than "do they have glasses?"
My kid just gets annoyed when I do this
I used to play it like this, not as a child, but more of teenage drinking/smoking age sort of thing.
I think we focused on slightly sillier questions though, such as (as far as I can remember):
"Do they have the cold, dead eyes of a killer," and
"Do they ever start a sentence with 'I'm not racist, but...'"
mixed in with stuff like
"does it look like they've just cacked their pants?" (Soiled themselves)
Exactly. It's not like playing with your child thing, just being stupid with friends thing.
We have considered making our own with family member cards.
I would assume you do something similar for this because no way do all of the canonical characters have a backstory.
Yeah, this just seems like a way to teach your kids how to stereotype strangers based on appearance.
It's not for your kids. It's for making jokes with your friends after a few beers.
They don't, that's the fun part. You have to make it up like there's some older woman in a flower hat, she definitely has cats, there's some other guy with a pointy face and glasses, he has atleast one cat probably is black and sits in his lap as he reads a book each night.
Bonus : you have to justify why you put down each person.
Why is a man with a goatee playing with a little girl? I don’t remember this boxart.
two words: mirror universe
And why is she flipping down Odo? He should be doing it on his board since he was asking
And where did the yellow board come from?
