He uses people. You're not any different.

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 33 points 3 days ago (1 children)

...Cao's statement said.

He also pointed blame at the media for its coverage of the USS Abraham Lincoln, saying outlets " are trying to paint our warriors as victims. Not only is that dishonest, but it takes away the focus on the enemy and the threat it poses against our nation, people, and way of life."

Which enemy? Trump? Because I have yet to see any evidence that Iran would have been a threat to our nation, people, or our way of life if President Pedo hadn't just left Obama's deal in place.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Yeah, but that deal was put into place while Obama was being black, so....

[–] vegeta@lemmy.world 38 points 3 days ago

This clown said the deployment was "not nearly long enough"

[–] My_IFAKs___gone@lemmy.world 35 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Spoken like someone who's truly been on the decks or in the trenches.

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 25 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Spoken like someone who, despite several (alleged) attempts on his life, still doesn't fear the population one bit.

Perhaps that should change.

[–] man_wtfhappenedtoyou@lemmy.world 14 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I wish one of these generals always standing behind him would just take out their service weapon and do us all a favor.

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago

And go down in history as the one who stopped pedo Hitler

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Biden had a chance during the debate.

[–] NekoKoneko@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

But did you hear, I heard Trump, in a show of solidarity, is going to spend two weeks as a grunt on the USS Abraham Lincoln! Yes, he is going to go and eat the same rations as them, and do all the normal 5:30 AM - 10 PM work, and it's going to be great because it will prove to all the haters that Trump really cares about service members and is truly one of them who would never shirk service! Yep, that's what I heard!

And if everyone on social media repeats that very real news, then in the very unlikely chance that is untrue, the White House will have to clarify that he has no intention whatsoever of setting foot on the USS Abraham Lincoln because he couldn't last five minutes living in the abject conditions he's imposing on service members! Boy, that would be strange, though, considering he's definitely going to do it. So we should all spread the word!

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago

Hey! I heard that as well (just now, from you, but that counts). Spread it around!

[–] Professorozone@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago

Could you imagine him coming out and saying that he messed up, that it caused suffering, that he was going to fix it and not let it ever happen again? Holy crap, I think I just blew my own mind.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago

Great job, "Commander in Chief"

Total failure of the entire upper command structure

"Trump ignores the suffering his behavior causes because he doesn't give a fuck about anyone but himself."

Trump is every nightmare we've ever had about the wealthy, all rolled into one person.

[–] limonfiesta@lemmy.world 15 points 3 days ago (1 children)

If given the chance, the overwhelming majority of those sailors would happily vote for a third Trump term.

[–] Neocorporation@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

Given how placid the average democratic is, I'm pretty confident they will be given the chance.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago

“Suckers and losers”

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago

Predictable. He cares about no one but himself. Zero empathy. Just like all billionaires.

[–] TomMasz@piefed.social 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Shocking(ly predictable). What a vile excuse for a human

So are all the spineless pieces of shit in leadership position who are “just following orders” to mentally torture their own people.

[–] dummyboymc23@lemmy.zip 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He's not even pretending to give a fuck is he

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Never has. News coverage is all fucked up. More than usual.

[–] hoppeduponcoffee@lemmy.zip 7 points 3 days ago (3 children)

I guess the one positive thing about this is that his stupidity is really pushing the military towards a coup against his administration.

[–] AlecSadler@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Most military people I've met support him...so I dunno.

[–] hoppeduponcoffee@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 days ago

Depending on your neck of the woods, I guess. I’ve read about 50% are starting to hate him.

[–] Einskjaldi@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

I'm sure an election on that ship now would be against.

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

I'd love to believe that's true… :(

[–] spacegoat@lemmy.world 0 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

The reality is that most military members are lazy and stupid, no different from the rest of Americans

I mean the Navy publicly stated that the conditions are normal. This is just his they normally treat their workers.

What are they going to do, form a union?

They're poor people. Why would he care?

[–] aldhissla@piefed.world 2 points 3 days ago

Hey, look here, admiral general Aladeen Bonespurs has an oPiNiOn.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Doesn't affect donnie J, so we all good!

[–] soratoyuki@piefed.zip -2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Seriously, do any of you care either?

Broken clocks are right twice a day. We don't have a draft; they all signed up to be there, unlike the Iranian school girls they're bombing. Not sure why the former get more sympathy than the latter.

Edit: this isn't rhetorical, can someone downvoting this tell me why I should give a fuck that volunteer war criminals are going hungry? Maybe if conditions are bad enough and they all realize they're abandoned cannon fodder for the Epstein class, enlistments will drop and we can do 1% less imperialism next time Trump needs a distraction.
