Just straight up portraying capitalism as if it's socialism and vice versa. Like bro if you gotta construct an entire alternate reality to fit with your ideas your ideas are shit and so are you.

Except for the huge pile in front of Musk.

Also, his slop meme is portraying Leninism fairly accurately. The man was a monster who wasn't happy with his first secret police force, so he made three in the years he held totalitarian power.

Marxist socialism is almost never portrayed by authoritarians, because of how obviously better it is

Elon Musk's net worth is roughly 10 million times the average annual income of an American worker. If median income is one slice of pie, he would have roughly an Olympic swimming pool full of pie.

I think the point is about the inverted capitalism/socialism thing in the AI slop comic

[–] shadowedcross@sh.itjust.works 53 points 2 days ago (2 children)

if the picture were accurate then all you could see would be Elon's pies, with a couple crumbs underneath it all for the peasants. His net worth is anywhere between ~7.4 m and ~28.4m times greater than the average Lemmy user's.

Musk flopping onto the table like a dying fish desperately trying to lick the crumbs off other children's plates despite the fact that he hasn't even touched his own pie yet.

Dude, he's like 903.5B times richer than me.

Ok, but why is Mario the face of communism?

[–] BeigeAgenda@lemmy.ca 18 points 2 days ago

Maybe because of this?

It’s an AI hallucination so who knows

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 6 points 1 day ago

Yeah, he's a monarchist.

[–] TubularTittyFrog@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

because mario bros is a communist psi op, duh

[–] darthsundhaft@piefed.social 7 points 1 day ago

Actually, the 2nd one is where the 2 kids are missing because the pie is actually the missing kids.

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago

The crumbs tell the story. Mario actually fed more kids while Elon hoards pie and had 2 kids go missing while they were posing for the photo without being allowed to touch the food.

Comrade Stalimario

[–] zbyte64@awful.systems 4 points 1 day ago

Where did musk get those extra slices? only 2 are missing from his pie....

Reminds me of my time in facebook, back when the far right rhetoric was taking form, everything, and I mean everything, was blamed on "the communists". Poor wages? Bad economy? All because the communist president fucked you over for his own gain.

I also experienced a similar, RL comment last month with a coworker. "This politician woman claims to be communist but she's walking around with a super expensive handbag!" - It boiled down to seeing communists as hypocrites because they spend money and buy things instead of "sharing everything". Kinda hard to be socialist/communist as an isolated individual living within a capitalistic society. Said coworker said he wouldn't mind the excessive expense on a frivolous accessory if the politician wasn't "a communist" because "meritocracy".

Also, this bullshit way of thinking ~~forgets~~ ignores that communism do allow everyone to have luxury items,
