  1. Mark NSFW content.
  2. No doxxing people.

  4. No international politcs
  5. Be excellent to each other.
  6. Provide an archived link to the tweet (or similar) being shown if it's a major celebrity, figure or any politician. If you replace the "x" at their site with xcancel (so it beomes xcancel.com), and you're not on mobile, it will save video. https://web.archive.org/save is another great option. I used to have a cat who loved to sit on keyboards, so I set one of my old ones up on a stand above and behind my actual keyboard, and she would come up and hang out on it while I worked. I would often have a switch up there as well, and she'd rest her head on it, so I called her my netcat daemon. I miss her.

I have to do this with a warm shirt while folding laundry.

I assumed that cats did this because they wanted attention, not because they like sitting on laptops. Plus, the decoy laptop doesn’t have any parts that will get warm.

you can selfhost an instance from it

The laptop? ....or the cat?

[–] fullsquare@awful.systems 5 points 1 day ago

it would be about as reliable either way

I'd figure this a case of 'i will just try anything that allows me to use my laptop', if that's true OP will just try something else.

That cat has the look of betrayal. "Your hands are supposed to be here, not over there"

That cat's waiting for your hands to make their way over
