jfc why is this news
Because it was on the cycle for weeks at a time when Biden did it
Holy fuck, what a fucking shit bag.
And you thought Trump was bad? This is the next POTUS.
That's his middle name.
Would love to see Vance get hit in the face with a greased up cast iron pan.
Fucker deserves the absolute worst. I feel sorry his wife having ever had to be penetrated by that couch fucking “did you even say thank you” fascist gum guzzling back door whore.
I feel even worse for his children that have to say “that’s my dad”.
Would love to see Vance get hit in the face with a greased up cast iron pan.
And I know just the black scottish cyclops to do it
Go fuck a couch Vance, you fascist shit stain.
But also Freudian Slips aren't really a thing. It's more like he was thinking about a state and was talking about Canada and it just shoved itself in there. Like what he does to couches.
I, for one, can't wait to see a President Vance. MAGA is a cult of personality. The reason why Trump chose him as VP is because he has zero personality. Without Trump's sociopathic charisma, the whole movement will eat itself.
As hyperbolic as this is, I am concerned by how many Canadians dismiss this out of hand. I know many of you haven't had to actually think about imperialism until quite recently, but how do you think the US got into such an advantageous position over the Canadian state? Did it not occur to you at all in these past decades that US ownership over so much Canadian businesses and resources, and the converse dependency Canada has on US finance and commodities constituted a power imbalance that could he weaponized? What about the fact that virtually all internet information platforms are moderated and surveilled by US corporations, or that the majority of hardware brands are American-owned?
They're saying it in such a blunt way to correctly assert that the US can exercise that power imbalance to its benefit. Even if Carney's diversification strategy works, we're going to see a massive shift in the cost of living in Canada in the meantime, and it is already beyond tolerance for many of us. This is not good, and this is what people have warned against for decades since the neoliberal era began.
Edit: refer below for a description on what "neoliberalism" is, as I get the impression there's many people here who may not understand what that term means and think that the word "liberal" is just some vague attack on the Liberal Party (which, make no mistake, they are neoliberals) or "progressives."
I had a professor that introduced his class to George Grant's Lament for a Nation, which was a big wake up call to me in the 90s. So no, not dismissing this out of hand. https://www.cbc.ca/radio/ideas/george-grant-lament-for-a-nation-1.7050666
I think you may have misunderstood my comment. I do not subscribe to Canadian nationalism, and I do not think that Canada should exist by merit of it being a genocidal, white supremacist enterprise fundamentally as a settler-colonial state. Grant would not agree with or even like me.
My criticism of Canada's subordination to the US is out of concern for the harm this will cause to the most vulnerable among us, not the wellbeing of a self-perceived national identity or groups of people who materially benefit from this system. Canada is an extractive enterprise, its settlers have been subordinated under imperialism for its entire existence, but they have been complacent with that so long as they benefitted by being a white settler nation, and especially after being a white settler nation in the US metropole. The Canadian state has supported imperialistic US campaigns all over the world not because it is subordinated, but because it benefits from them.
Grant's criticism of the PC and Liberal parties is honestly quite ignorant in reality,, not even informed by the decolonial and anti-imperialist arguments of his time. It refused to interrogate why Canadian and US interests intersected, and instead resolved to construct some idealized, immaterial past where Canada somehow existed without global imperialism and liberal capitalism. Obviously, this is untrue, Canada has always been a liberal-capitalist state and its entire existence hinges on the continued genocide of indigenous peoples and extraction from the land they live on. He even saw the Agrarian Socialism of the CCF and how readily the state appropriated those policies into a capitalist economic framework, and still concluded that it was the bad actors of a vague, wealthy elite that threatened Canadian national identity and not that this system inevitably benefits capital and capital alone.
I'm not surprised to hear if someone finds his writing appealing in 2026, as we are in a particularly energized fascist moment now that liberal capitalism is meeting the material limitations of reality. White Canadians are having to contend with the negative consequences of participating in empire for the first time in their memory, and they've responded by attempting to salvage some ideal, more "pure" form of national identity that maintains those core values but pathologizes the "Americanness" of their imperialism in the same way he did. It's disturbing, and I can guarantee many of them would not care about the genocides that would be required for that identity to exist.
No body cares what this gearbox thinks inside of the U.S. but Im sure his opinion is well regarded around the world though lol
This is the next POTUS. The roadmap for Vance is to depose Trump after the 2028 elections and Vance becomes POTUS without being elected.
If you know much of vance, you also know he is a monarchist.
He is also friends with curtis yarvin and blake masters and the right wing techofascist overlords who want to use us as biofuel.(jk guys, really! We were just kidding!)
Oh, and he is bought and paid for by peter thiel.
Yes. Vance is much much worse than trump.
Thiels mouthpiece gonna mouthpiece
I will probably never step foot in the US ever again, sad
To downvoters - as a dedicated fan of heavy metal that's usually why I go there. Better shows and festivals than here and by far. Sad that it's no longer
My friends want me to go to the bluegrass and old time festivals in the US. Not a snowball’s chance in hell.
“Oh but it’s all camping and you don’t really spend your money there and everyone you see is pretty progressive at these events” except that’s not the point. I don’t want my name on that shit, or anywhere near it. I don’t want even the chance that someone thinks I’m remotely ok with that piece of shit country.
This pedo apologist is out of his league.
Shut up, Vance.
Vance is almost as charismatic as a shit sofa, even the maga base hates him. He may be prez in the future, but he will not have the same base.
Freudian slip: oops I said what I really think. But wasn't supposed to say.
I honestly believe Vance has never raped kids so I wouldn't mind him replacing Trump soon
He shelters and protects a man who raped kids.
Thats not better.
How old was the couch
So the only qualification that you consider necessary to be POTUS is that the candidate hasn't raped kids?
Sounds like a strong starting point for sure
