mush for brains

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago

When is Plump ever going to do anything for the American people? I kept hearing about something about winning?

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

I am convinced he started all this when he returned to office because he was pissed at the former Canadian head for being so handsome his wife and daughter swooned over him.

[–] Dju@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

Oh no, he's having trumper tantrumps again!

[–] o0evillusion0o@sh.itjust.works 5 points 20 hours ago

One thing he can't rename are the TRUMP-EPSTEIN FILES (TM) , eh?

[–] CCMan1701A@startrek.website 3 points 18 hours ago

I'm not following how renaming the lake matters?

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 3 points 19 hours ago

So, President Pedo fucked up in Iran so now he wants to switch back to a war with Canada?

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 22 hours ago

These name changes will only confuse idiots who accept them.

It'll be a vast minority of the world.

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 2 points 19 hours ago

The league of petulant children have announced that they distance themselves from this behaviour and that it doesn't represent their values.

Trump also denied reports that Canada pulled out of trade negotiations over the weekend over crazy last-minute demands from Trump administration officials such as changing Quebec’s French-language protections.

I could 100% believe trump or one of his idiots tried to make that demand.

But if he didn't, and Ford just made that shit up, I 100% support that tactic.

Every other country should just do the same shit to trump at the same time.

I want to hear Aussies saying they can't deal with trump because he demanded the legally define any blade over 3 inches as a sword and not a knife.

I want England to say he wants them to ban beans on toast.

Germany to say he wants to force all beer to be non alcoholic.

Italians saying he wants to ban gluten.

Flood the zone with so much shit he's constantly on the defensive and doesn't have the energy to start actual wars or even trade wars.

Keep the baby distracted till midterms and maybe we can get rid of him thru congress. Or at least get him in check somewhat.

[–] hume_lemmy@lemmy.ca 28 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Trump also denied reports

I also love how we all basically take this as confirmation that this did in fact happen.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

That's the entire point...

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

He denies anything that he doesn’t think makes him look better

[–] hoppeduponcoffee@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

Past behavior is often a reliable indicator of future behavior.

[–] blastosist@lemmy.zip 14 points 1 day ago

Totally normal behavior.

[–] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 7 points 1 day ago (3 children)

I guess he needs to distract from the bad trade deal negotiations with Canada to distract from the illegal war going poorly with Iran.

[–] GardenGeek@europe.pub 3 points 20 hours ago

Which he began to distract from him raping children on Epstein island.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So it would be really, really funny if the we were actually importing Canadian beef.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 4 points 15 hours ago

I heard the US beef is actually cats and dogs.

THEY ARE EATING THE CATS.

[–] RedEyeFlightControl@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Which is just a distraction from releasing the epstein files.

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 6 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

I used to believe the whole distraction theory, but now I think he's just that much of an idiot. Suggesting that there's a strategy just gives him far too much credit.

Every time in his life that he fucked up before now he's been able to cheat his way out of it. All he knows is fucking up and cheating. If he had ever faced a consequence, he might have at least the intelligence of a slug, but he was never forced to develop his mind in any way other than cheating.

[–] korazail@eviltoast.org 3 points 15 hours ago

The only caveat I have here is that he's a puppet. The likelihood that there are intelligences behind him is too great. Trump doesn't have a strategy, but others do.

Flatter him a few times and ask him to say something stupid and it'll get said. He is the distraction, but doesn't know it.

My holdout for hope is that this much of a stooge can only come around every few years. There can't be another idiot waiting in the wings, right? Right?

I don't think those in his circle will dance on the same strings that trump will, and will break the illusion if asked to, but I'm just an optimist.

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 3 points 20 hours ago

At this point I think it's all a distraction from his health

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 day ago

Hmm let’s rename Lake Michigan to Lake Epstein files.

[–] Ariselas@piefed.ca 12 points 1 day ago

bNUT7y27i38JSmU.jpeg

I say Canada renames the greatest of the great lakes, the Superior lake, in honor of 45/47, to Lake Pedo

[–] revelrous@sopuli.xyz 16 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Oh good. I thought my blood pressure was getting a bit low.

[–] balsoft@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

No need to worry, it won't even be reflected on any map worth using

(just noticed that it doesn't even get mentioned as an alternative name in the Wikipedia summary lol)

[–] doingthestuff@lemy.lol 1 points 18 hours ago

It's Gulf of America on Google maps for US users and all of the merch you can buy along the Gulf has changed. Let's see where it stands in 15 years, a lot of people along the Gulf are embracing it.

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

This is the stuff worth ignoring. He can call it Lake Freedom Fries, Lake America, Lake Trump, or whatever. That doesn’t mean Canada or New York will change the signage of the area. It’ll be another dumb Google Maps change that will vanish after this guy finally leaves office.

It’s humorous that this moron thinks he has any authority to rename any geographical feature. Literally no one calls it Gulf of America except the sycophantic spineless supporters and businesses like Google and Apple.

A complete fucktard.

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Speaking as a Michigander… ( now in California) So stupid. It’s also a shared border with Canada. It is international waters. So we would have a different name for it than Canada. It is already in America, too. North America!

You also learn in school the initialism of HOMES, to remember all of the lakes for a quiz or life or whatever. Not that that matters as much as his pettiness as a “leader.”

He is an absolute embarrassment.

Is he also going to rename Ontario, California?!

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The Gulf of Mexico was also international waters and that didn't stop him.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 0 points 17 hours ago

Not international waters, there is a border than runs across Erie, Ontario, Huron and Superior.

[–] imvii@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 day ago

picard-facepalm.jpg

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah? Like the Gulf of Mexico?

That one didn’t stick either.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Google maps changed it. It's still there.

Damn it.

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah, but no one calls it that.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago

Unfortunately, the bootlicks and the cult members do.

If we ever get a Democratic president and they don't reverse stuff like this immediately, the Democrats might just lose the population forever.

Sure, some might argue it is "just" symbolic to reverse it. But conservatives doing stuff like what donnie does is also symbolic, so reversing it should be NBD and something done immediately.

If anyone Enlightened Centrist (TM) or Murc's Law Media simp asks "why are you doing this?" or "what gives you the right to do this?" - tell them that "the American people elected this President ____ to do the will of the people, blah blah" - in other words, give them the exact same gaslighting bullshit the Republicans do, and never, ever apologize for it, ever.

[–] username_1@discuss.tchncs.de 13 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Why would anyone care how Americans call something? On American maps it would be Lake Trumpario. And?

What Google Maps shows for the Gulf of Mexico still pisses me off, and I have no skin in the game since I have no ties to anything Hispanic in nature. It's just wrong.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

For you as a .de user, probably not much right now outside of you getting to make fun of the incompetence of Americans with a dementia addled man who has a book of Hitlers speeches on his nightstand in charge of a waning super power.

Longer term, there are going to be impacts to you as he destabilizes the global markets, screws with the energy market, this time with Canada, which might be good for you guys, and continues to deteriorate trade and military alliances with America's allies.

And at any rate, it's always good to make fun of fascists, their ego's can't stand being mocked.

Holy shit, this administration is such a fucking embarrassment.

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] Hideakikarate@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I would post the clip of Christopher Walken in Seven Psychopaths, but that would imply Walken is Trump, and that is an insult I could not completely atone for.

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

But that also implies I killed him ultimately... Sooooo

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

[–] hoppeduponcoffee@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

Lake Dumbokkkracee

[–] X@piefed.world 4 points 1 day ago

He can piss up a rope, the rest of the world will patently ignore it, just as we do with Mexico’s Gulf.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

So...I predicted Lake Melania in 2025. What do I win?
