I would rather we get out of Venezuela
Sorry, we have to go through a domestic insurgency there first before things will get bad enough to leave
"We have no government-owned operational capability per se in the oil and gas sector," says Gerald Kepes, president of Competitive Energy Strategies, an energy consultancy in Washington, D.C. "The question is, who's going to operate on the ground?"
I bet it's hidden behind a bunch of shell companies which obfuscates that whatever entity is involved on the US side is already owned by Trump and/or Kushner, and designed to siphon all the profit away and leave the government with the bill.
“The question is” …
Completely fucking unanswerable.
It’s a safe bet. They don’t even have to make layers and layers of shell companies anymore. Under Trump, they gutted a key anti-corruption measure, the ownership reporting requirement for shell companies and deleted all the previous data about them. Even someone as dumb as Erik Trump could pull this scam now.
What deal? They kidnapped the president and now are just stealing oil.
That’s the art of the steal! Dont forget he also threatened much worse happening to the current lady if she didn’t cooperate.
Came here to say this. I wish they'd stop accepting conservative framing, JFC.
Of course not. The profits from the stolen oil are destined for greater wallets than yours!
Good. Now stop the deal, decrease domestic production and other imports, and keep increasing the prices.
We can't afford the cost of burning more fossil fuels.
Which of his kids owns said company?
Not important compared to the naked imperialism.
