He was elected twice, with the support of the republican party and many big donnors. What prevents another narcisist, corrupt, incompetent clown from being elected?
Certainly not the nation of criminals. I wish them the most great and tremendous food shortages and subsequent famine. Oh and preventable disease epidemics from vaccine-curable diseases that used to be eradicated.

Republicans and establishment DNC destroyed their country. Now it's a mindless husk.
Corporate owners (the oligarch class) who fund and therefore own the Rs and establishment Ds destroyed it. It's why swapping between Rs and Ds, or swapping individual Rs and Ds within the parties hasn't produced a measurable halt in the decline.
I'm excluding the recent progressive insurgency, we're yet to see where it goes and what its effect would be. There's some hope there.
He's following up here on a threat to "will stop trade IF federal reserve doesn't lower interest rates", with "Stopping trade is the best idea ever under any circumstance". What has yet to crystalize into Canadian establishment/military policy is that Trump thinks part of the best idea ever is "Making Canada cease to exist".
