Isn't calling for somebody's assassination plain illegal?

[–] ours@lemmy.world 43 points 5 days ago

It doesn't matter anymore it seems.

The checks and balances are mostly dead and buried and Republicans don't seem to care.

[–] RaoulDuke25@lemmy.dbzer0.com 30 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Only if you're not Republican.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

If you're not Republican, and you simply disagree with the government, you go directly to jail.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Under cook, over cook, straight to jail.

IOKIYAR - the end of Western civilization.

[–] Vorticity@lemmy.world 12 points 4 days ago

Who is going to prosecute? The current DOJ?

This stage set-up was displayed at a a major conservative event - it proves that even they see themselves this way.

That photo is going to be strong evidence when we prohibit MAGA's existence as a a Domestic Terrorist organization, and a legitimate, ongoing National Security Threat.

The DHS already knew back in 2008 that the threat of domestic terrorism was largely from the right. Which, even back then, could be filed under "duh" for people paying attention, but boy did the republicons squeal about this.

Pretty sure this was done under Bush regime, but because Obama was the incoming president, people scrambled to bury it.

But but but it was just a joke!

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

It was just a joke. We didn't expect anyone to take it so seriously! It's really the left's fault, they shouldn't have pushed us so hard. They're trying to destroy our way of life. We had to kill the woke Left, they were the domestic terrorists.

Always someone in the comments ready to blame Democrats for what Republicans are doing.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

The Murc's Law Media has been priming people to think that way for decades now.

Same people crying out when Charlie Kirk was shot by his own follower. Same "centrists" saying they're apolitical but against violence like this

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 29 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Democrats started this insanely racist smear campaign, against El-Sayed. Neera Tanden, the same genocide supporting bigot that started the racist campaigns against Obama started this in the midterms. She’s a sloppy drunk twitter troll that needs to be run out of the party.

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world -2 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Oh, well, glad to know that makes calling for murder okay then.

[–] OldChicoAle@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

No one said that but your brain

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yeah…. that’s what I was implying. Brilliant take.

We are allowed to call out racism and Islamophobia on both sides. It is a cancer. You don’t excise a cancer in one part of your body and ignore it in another part simply because it is less threatening right now. No. You radiate it. You inject it with chemicals and poison and destroy it.

Besides, I would say there are factions within the democratic party that would love to see the very same outcome the mouth breathers at this Trump rally (because that’s what this was) are calling for. They’re just not stupid enough to scream it in a crowd.

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world -4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I have no truck with calls for violence. I do not accept them from fascists, and I do not accept them from you. You can fuck all the wy off.

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

You should probably try to read more. You have comprehension issues.

[–] OldChicoAle@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Alex doesn't get sarcasm lol.

[–] Fishnoodle@lemmy.world 12 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Is there a pro Abdul militia you can join that can help provide private security at his events, and monitor good opponents events for illegal activities?
