/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia S5E11 "Mac and Charlie Write a Movie"

Original monolog:

What if we were to bring, uh, an incredibly hot but skeptical female lab partner into the mix? And then that way, whenever Dolph's not out busting heads because he's smelled crime, he's back at the lab performing outrageous sexual experiments on her supple young body. Now here's the twist-- and there is a twist: we show it. We show all of it. Because what's the one major thing missing from all action movies these days, guys? Full penetration. Guys, we're gonna show full penetration, and we're gonna show a lot of it. I mean, we're talking, you know, graphic scenes of Dolph Lundgren really going to town on this hot, young lab tech... from behind, 69, anal, vaginal, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl. All the hits. All the big ones. All the good ones. And then he smells crime again; he's out busting heads. Then he's back to the lab for some more full penetration. He smells crime. Back to the lab; full penetration. Crime, penetration, crime, full penetration, crime, penetration. And this goes on and on and back and forth for 90 or so minutes until the movie just sort of... ends.

What is that referencing? I have seen that commented under a bunch of posts about Berman, but searching that phrase does not return an exact quote or anything.

In one of the legendary Mr. Plinkett Star Wars Prequel Rants, he makes a joke where he confuses Star Wars prequel producer Rick McCallum for Star Trek producer Rick Berman, which prompts him to blurt out, “What is it with Ricks?!”

Recommend those prequel reviews/rants if you’re into sci-fi and movies.

Fuck you Rick Berman!

I had tried at one point, but the humor is definitely not my style. I found it more annoying than anything.

I do like the meta joke that the only person who would care enough to make hours of content shitting on the TNG movies and Star Wars prequels would be the world's creepiest old man. Putting your argument into the mouth of an elderly serial killer is a nice inversion of the huge amount of criticism (especially prevalent at the time) that presents the author as one notch down from Christ on the cross.

Some of the humour is outdated but the film making and story telling analysis is still good. Start with the original star trek reviews, then watch the star wars reviews.

One too many jokes about murdering his wife.

Not enough about his terrible gay son.
