Most of those wall-warts are reducing everything down to like 3volts. Compared to the suspicious extension chords/ power strips I've seen all energized with full 120v main power this is safe.

I worked at this janky, rural gas station for a month or so and my ipods battery was ruined by a daisy chain of ~10 power strips that brought electricity to the office. Place *almost burned down after that, and it's had a full renovation now.
