I was pleasantly surprised to see Google Messages automatically blocks most political spam now. I've only gotten a few that slipped through in the past few months.

8.1 used build numbers 9xxx (7 used 7xxx, 8 used 8xxx, and 10 started out using 10xxx), so you could argue it was technically Windows 9.

The only FE that had a headphone jack was the Note FE, and that was in 2017. Every other FE phone has just been a cheaper S series option.

The Note FE was also just a rebranded Note7 with a smaller battery.

Projectivy is great. Some bugs here and there, but overall I love the much simpler UI and that I can actually keep my "continue watching" row at the top.

Google wants your app to handle payments through Play Services so they can get a cut. I think it's technically allowed now to have external payment links in certain cases, but sometimes it's just easier to remove the thing Google is mad at even if they're in the wrong.

Again, though, that commit is only for the Google Play variant. Maybe some weird branch merging thing happened and it ended up in the main branch accidentally, but it shouldn't have made it to F-DROID.

0.76 should only exist for the Play Store. Donation links had to be removed in the Google Play variant: https://github.com/LemmyNet/jerboa/commit/ea2776441b4f76ff66f7beb7b64e5291101af5c5.

Not sure why F-DROID would pick up changes from a different branch and build them.

Hey everyone!

Because of how Mastodon and Lemmy are spread across multiple domains, I made an app for Android to help make following shared fediverse links hopefully a bit easier.

Fediverse Redirect has support for most Mastodon and Lemmy instances, and lets you choose which client you want the links to open in, even if that client doesn't support deep linking. It needs some initial setup because Android is very much not built for one app to have so many deep link domains specified, but it should be easy on Android 11 and later or when using LinkSheet.

Both variants are free and open source and there's support for a bunch of clients already. I'd love to hear your feedback on behavior/UI/new clients/whatever. Keep in mind that a lot of clients don't have a way to send them links, so I may not be able to add support without changes to the client.

Right now, downloads are available through the GitHub releases tab and through IzzyOnDroid. I may put the apps on the Play Store, but I don't think they'll be happy about all the deep link domains.

As with the original post, let me know if this isn't a good place to post this and I'll remove it.
