Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

Rules
  1. πŸ˜‡ Be Nice!

    • Treat others with respect and dignity. Friendly banter is okay, as long as it is mutual; keyword: friendly.
  2. 🏘️ Community Standards

    • Comics should be a full story, from start to finish, in one post.
    • Posts should be safe and enjoyable by the majority of community members, both here on lemmy.world and other instances.
    • Any comic that would qualify as raunchy, lewd, or otherwise draw unwanted attention by nosy coworkers, spouses, or family members should be tagged as NSFW.
    • Moderators have final say on what and what does not qualify as appropriate. Use common sense, and if need be, err on the side of caution.
  3. 🧬 Keep it Real

    • Comics should be made and posted by real human beans, not by automated means like bots or AI. This is not the community for that sort of thing.
  4. πŸ“½οΈ Credit Where Credit is Due

    • Comics should include the original attribution to the artist(s) involved, and be unmodified. Bonus points if you include a link back to their website. When in doubt, use a reverse image search to try to find the original version. Repeat offenders will have their posts removed, be temporarily banned from posting, or if all else fails, be permanently banned from posting.
    • Attributions include, but are not limited to, watermarks, links, or other text or imagery that artists add to their comics to use for identification purposes. If you find a comic without any such markings, it would be a good idea to see if you can find an original version. If one cannot be found, say so and ask the community for help!
  5. πŸ“‹ Post Formatting

    • Post an image, gallery, or link to a specific comic hosted on another site; e.g., the author's website.
    • Meta posts about the community should be tagged with [Meta] either at the beginning or the end of the post title.
    • When linking to a comic hosted on another site, ensure the link is to the comic itself and not just to the website; e.g.,
      βœ… Correct: https://xkcd.com/386/
      ❌ Incorrect: https://xkcd.com/
  6. πŸ“¬ Post Frequency/SPAM

    • Each user (regardless of instance) may post up to five (5 πŸ–) comics a day. This can be any combination of personal comics you have written yourself, or other author's comics. Any comics exceeding five (5 πŸ–) will be removed.
  7. πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ Internationalization (i18n)

    • Non-English posts are welcome. Please tag the post title with the original language, and include an English translation in the body of the post; e.g.,
      SΓ, por favor [Spanish/EspaΓ±ol]
  8. 🍿 Moderation

    • We are human, just like most everybody else on Lemmy. If you feel a moderation decision was made in error, you are welcome to reach out to anybody on the moderation team for clarification. Keep in mind that moderation decisions may be final.
    • When reporting posts and/or comments, quote which rule is being broken, and why you feel it broke the rules.
Banned Artists

The following artists are banned from the community.

  1. Jago
  2. Stonetoss
  3. GPrime85

It should be noted that when you make reports, it is your responsibility to provide rational reasoning why something should be removed. Saying it simply breaks community rules is not always good enough.

Web Accessibility

Note: This is not a rule, but a helpful suggestion.

When posting images, you should strive to add alt-text for screen readers to use to describe the image you're posting:

Another helpful thing to do is to provide a transcription of the text in your images, as well as brief descriptions of what's going on. (example)

dont ducks try to gangrape a female duck.

i think capybara, koala, or sloth would be more better.

[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

Koalas are literally smoothed brained and have chlamydia. Like they are so stupid that they don’t even recognize eucalyptus leaves (their favorite food) if the leaves aren’t hanging on the tree and you put the leaves on a plate in front of the koala.

[–] late_pessimistic@slrpnk.net 3 points 4 hours ago

AFAIK koalas are rapists too. Living in the wild is brutal for every being, really

[–] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 7 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Plot twist: He's reincarnated as a duck in a duck farm.

Meh, still better.

If you secularize the idea of rebirth, removing any idea of cosmic justice, all you have is a hypothetical naturalistic process. What you'll be reborn as will depend on what's being born, and the odds don't look so great.

β€œYou’re being reincarnated.

Roll the D100.”

[–] Tikiporch@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

Here I come, Pelagibacter ubique.

[–] GoldAxolotl@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

There's no reincarnation and no afterlife. But comparison of human's life and duck's one made me thinking about it for a brief moment. Nah, human life is generally better and much more sophisticated. But yes, ducks don't have to think about so much things.

[–] krisevol@lemmus.org 5 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

He got reincarnated as a violent rapist?

[–] Tabula_stercore@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

Yes, with a corkscrew penis

[–] CalypsoGirl@lemmy.today 1 points 5 hours ago

In a species that is bound by no laws.

It's really funny to see a bunch of terminal online people to one-up each other about how much they know about duck penises.

The comic is nice.

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 5 points 13 hours ago

Was so excited to come to the comments and learn more about duckrape.

Now I feel called out

[–] Beero@lemmy.world 4 points 12 hours ago

I love you guys.

How's he wake up as a grown-ass duck?

A wizard did it.

[–] tgcoldrockn@lemmy.world 11 points 10 hours ago

You need to be more mallardable with real time here.

[–] HalfSalesman@lemmy.world 40 points 16 hours ago (14 children)

People wishing to be one with nature don't ever seem to realize that nature is brutal and horrific just as much as it is peaceful and serene. If anything it is more the former.

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 6 points 12 hours ago

Yeah fuck nature. Domesticated cat is the sweet spot.

Outside free to roam a fairly safe territory and then snuggles and guaranteed food and shelter pretty much on command.

Ditto dog, but they've got a slightly less sweet deal.

[–] Smaile@lemmy.ca 13 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago)

Just like our lives, but at least theirs less to think about as a duck.

[–] HerbGrower@slrpnk.net 4 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Return as a yew tree. Come on, eat me fuckers, I dare you.

[–] Geobloke@aussie.zone 2 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Fun fact, the English wiped out their yew trees to make longbows

[–] HerbGrower@slrpnk.net 1 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

We still have them, though I do suspect a lot fewer than would be there naturally. We have now wiped out almost all of our woodland in general.

Meanwhile ducks are over here raping each other and they have crazy spiral dicks.

[–] not@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 hours ago

He became a male duck...

I have to search the image about this, but you know the even crazier part is that female ducks evolved spirals in the opposite direction

That's why he's happy, duck life

Yes, it'll be a bloody long time before I come back as a human, I'll tell you that for nothing.

[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 13 points 15 hours ago (4 children)

Ducks are pretty brutal to each other, worse than chickens even.

I'd be horrified, but maybe this guy is into it

We had ducks when I was a kid, I know all about it.

They may be cute, but they are horrible creatures and I don't feel bad for eating them. Fuck you, ducks. Little assholes
