Trying to not eat all the candy because there will be no children

I bought some designs for 3D printed medieval armor and printed some of it

[–] earlier_riser@lemmy.world 1 points 37 minutes ago

We're just hanging out waiting for trick or treaters to show up.

[–] SpiceDealer@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 57 minutes ago

Playing through all of Quake's expansions. I've played the main campaign dozen of times but this is the first time I've played the expansions to completion.

Ran into a snag that prevented me from going to a Halloween thing, so no plans.

I had planned on wearing my partial fursuit with a long sleeve shirt that had fake blood on it, a pair of dirtied jeans, and my old boot like shoes that are already pretty dirty and mangled from usage. You know, casual killer 3 eyed were-snow leapord. But now I don't have a reason for it other than if I really wanna do it.

[–] FeelThePower@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 hour ago

well, I wanted to do something with my friends but my cat died today so now my mood is ruined. I'll probably just leave the great pumpkin peanuts special on tv when I go to bed or something.

31 days of horror movies first time I actually made it to the end, Halloween H20 tonight after some other festivities

[–] alien_observer@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Care to share the rest of the movies you watched?

[–] alien_observer@lemmy.ml 2 points 58 minutes ago

That's a pretty good list! And yeah, I watched the Terrifier movies for the first time this year and I guess they're just not for me. Impressive practical effects, but uh more violent then I need. Enjoy H20!

Dressing as an Aquabat, while my wife is a bat. Taking the 3 little neices trick or treating.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 3 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

just horror movies and mostly in the background. so lame.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

NOT LAME! That is the purest essence of Halloween!

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

watching apacalypse z for the first time as I missed it until the sequel showed up.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

That's a good one!

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 19 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (2 children)

Finished my Cosmic crow costume and I'm gonna be dancing to my customized Halloween playlist for 3 hours while I give out candy.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago

Love the eyes!

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 3 points 4 hours ago

pft. that does not look like brandon lee at all.

[–] The_v@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I get around 250+ trick or treaters every year. So I have 30lbs of candy ready, I might need another 10 or so. Maybe I'll go get some of my favorites. You know just in case I need it.

Last year I barely had enough and only had like 5 pieces of candy at the end of the night. I had to wrestle my 16 year old to get into his stash the next day. It was so much easier to steal his candy when he was little. Little shits been hitting the weights this year as well.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

250 trick or treaters!? I wish. I get maybe a dozen max. What's the best costume so far?

[–] Ryanmiller70@lemmy.zip 3 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I'm going to a Halloween party/movie night a film club I joined is hosting in a park later this afternoon. They're gonna show Barbarian and another mystery film.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

A Halloween outdoors in the park! Super spooky!!

[–] lowspeedchase@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 10 hours ago (3 children)

My Viking costume turned into a gentlemen pirate costume after I was told I'm not ready to go shirtless yet, burrrnnnn lol - any suggestions!?

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

So handsome!! Hope you're having fun!

Whole-heartedly believe you have what it takes to go full techno-viking levels of shirtless. Lets go!

Going to a party that my lead singer is throwing, gonna wear some Gene Simmons makeup and a beret, going as "French Kiss"

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

Hahahaha! Such a good pun! I bet that costume killed!!

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 9 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I give away candy and love it. I live between 2 schools and have had around 200 kids each of the last few years. I have 12 pounds of candy, 120 packs of instant ramen, and a box of paperback books to give away. Ramen was surprisingly well received last year. Each year I manage to give away all the candy and have to close up early. I hope tonight goes well.

[–] velma@sh.itjust.works 5 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

That’s so fun!! I love when we get a ton of trick or treaters. All their different costumes and the little kids, it’s so wholesome! Good luck tonight :)

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

The ramen was an idea from an Instagram vid I saw a few years ago. The books are new this year - had a book based trunk or treat event get cancelled and I have w bankers boxes worth of middle school and elementary level books. Seems like the right kind of time to give them away.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

If I knew someone was giving away books when I was a kid, it'd be my favorite house! Hope it's going well!!

[–] zoltanshields@lemmy.zip 3 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I recently moved from a house to an apartment and I don't expect trick-or-treaters this year, which is a bit of a bummer. I liked giving out candy.

I'll probably watch a horror movie though. Haven't decided which one, either rewatching The Thing or maybe something new.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

What did you end up settling on? I'm having a girls night and after some debate we are about to settle in with the Conjuring series!

[–] alien_observer@lemmy.ml 5 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

smoke some weed, ride around on my bike, watch some spookies

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

Hope the spooking are good!! :)

[–] chahn.chris@piefed.social 5 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I bought a new zombie game on steam and will be playing it.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

Some of my favorite Halloweens have passed with a spooky game!!

[–] yeehawboy@lemmy.world 5 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I’m voting here in Kansas City, MO because the only early voting on the weekend is 8am - 12noon on Halloween!

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

Omg!! Did people dress up in the line? That sounds fun. I guess I never realize how lucky I am we have almost a week of early voting opportunities.
