After an up and down fun first half of basketball, refs came in to stop all that shit

Refs having a hell of a 3rd after a quiet half
I think the warriors problems is that they have a bunch of ‘good’ players but not enough ‘great’ players right now. Steph is still Steph but he doesn’t have one person who’s playing at an all star level, not even close. However the team’s depth is very good. Once GP2 and Draymond get back, there’s is going to be at least one quality rotation player who won’t play.
This is a very unique problem for the Warriors, they’ve been playing well during the non-Steph minutes (net rating of +2.9 when he’s off), but not nearly as good in the Steph minutes (-.8) as they have in the past.
Just a reminder that the warriors had to ADD assets to JP to get 38 year old Chris Paul
Not necessarily just as a player but I was a big believer in the CP3 Harden duo back when everyone said it was a odd fit. I’m hoping a similar thing happens again this year with CP3
Ignoring my obvious bias, I think there’s a few aspects of CP3 that are going unrecognized. Everyone is worried about him starting or not but regardless the 5 man lineup where it’s the main 4 plus CP3 won’t get a lot of minutes. Even the original “death” lineup only got around 10-12 mpg together. What CP3 brings more than anything is hopefully some stability when Steph isn’t on the floor and allows Steph and Draymond to match minutes more (which is absolutely huge if that ends up being the case), and allows for overall more lineup flexibility since now they have another playmaker that they didn’t have last year.
What I don’t understand is why everyone is mad about Klay being in last night. Klay had a pretty good game and with Draymond back, they could’ve gone small and have Moody in with the starters minus Looney (who did not have a great game last night and sold at the line too late)
