I don't know the motivations of all the people who were working but I'm willing to bet Graham Bell did to bother employees during their off hours.

I walked into to work this morning to a dev IM needing permissions. Instead of telling me what the error message said, which would contain the allowance needed, he needed he sent me a screenshot of what chatGPT said he needed. GPT effectively said the solution was to let him assume any privileged access policy that exists.

I think security teams are fine for a while.

Given how much time I spend actually looking at the screen while the show/movie is on, it might as well be in ca. 2000 RealVideo 160x120 resolution.

This one has never worked for me, because if I see a long number without commas or periods I have to stop and figure out. I couldn't hope to read that number until I solved to puzzle of whether is started with "million" or "billion."

I'm pretty sure Gowron is hidden in almost every scene. Like the Han in Carbonite figure on Firefly.

It looks still to me

The year of the Linux Desktop doesn't happen when people shut up about Linux.

This is the first I'm hearing it, and I feel like I'll always be just a little bit sadder now that I know its a thing.

But the most damning thing of all… I think I can live with it… I think I can laugh with it... And if I had to do it all over again… I would love it. Garak was right about one thing – it's always 5 o'clock somewhere.

If the doctor orders I eat 2 breakfasts, I'm not letting a pharmacy screw up the good thing I've got going!

But what insurance is requiring 90 days and are they taking signups? Mine forces everything to 30 unless I use their mail pharmacy that constantly loses orders.

You save a lot of money over the decades by wringing every penny of value from all your electronics.

Replace things?

Virtually every computing device I've ever owned is somewhere in the house I'm in. I sold my first PC (a Leading Edge 8088 IBM clone) and I still regret it. It'd have been hard to get hooked into my homelab, but I would have figured it out.
