I mean, he’s averaging 34/12/5 over the last 10 games and he’s leading the league in scoring over that time span. All that and the NBA doesn’t consider him in MVP contention

Dude, he’s already the 2nd best PF of all time. He has more MVPs than KG and Dirk, the FMVP KG doesn’t have, the DPOY Dirk doesn’t have, more 1st Team All NBAs than both, and he scores more than either ever did. All they have on him is years in the league

Absolutely insane numbers by Giannis over the last 3 odd weeks. He and dame are really starting to click, even though it doesn’t always look like it on the floor. The game will just end and you’ll see they combined for like 60/17/17.

We’ve all seen that pic of Jokic when we was a fat 12 year old. We know he likes PIE.

Why does this need its own post? Seems like a very typical stat line for him

“Nothing buttholes” lol

Today marks exactly 4 weeks since the Nuggets and Lakers tipped off the NBA season, and to this point the league leader in 3pt% has been the Bucks’ Cameron Payne at 52.6%

Some other statistical anomalies include Moe Wagner being 3rd in FG%, THJ being 3rd in 3pt makes, Wemby already being 3rd in BPG, and Suggs being 3rd in SPG.

Just trying to get a gage about what people think about him. Don’t consider contract or age. Just this season in a vacuum. Obviously Jokic and Embiid, then Bam/Sabonis, but who after that? Pingus/Turner/Brook/Allen/ are all on the same tier to me.

Which players look like a shell of themselves, but are still coasting on their names? Klay and Wiggins are the obvious ones, but who else just looks bad 13 games into the season?

Wait, I thought Giannis was washed and exposed? That’s what this sub and a ton of YouTubers told me.

For the Bucks, it’s Beasley and Payne. Both have been shooting it extremely well lately, to the point it’s making up for their lack of defense

It’s been an extremely common narrative amongst talking heads and YouTubers alike, that the Bucks are a broken team still struggling to find their way. While that was certainly true to start the season, the Bucks have quietly turned things around since getting blown out by the Raptors on 11/1/23. Over the last 9 games (or 2/3 of the season so far), the Bucks per game stats are as follows:

W/L: 7-2 (T-2nd)

PPG: 120.9 (T-4th)

FG%: 49.5 (6th)

3PTM: 15.4 (4th)

3PT%: 39% (2nd)

DREB: 35.7 (2nd)

TOV: 13 (7th fewest)

BLK: 6.0 (7th)

+/- : 6.3 (7th)

As for advanced stats, the following apply to the last 9 games as well:

OFFRTG: 118.9 (5th)

NETRTG: 6.2 (7th)

AST/TO : 1.93 (9th)

EFG%: 58.2 (1st)

TS%: 61.5 (1st)

Pace: 10.67 (T-6th)

All this comes while the Bucks are currently 9-4, the 3-seed in the East, and tied in wins with Philly, Denver, and Minnesota. Their defense is certainly still suspect and there’s work to do on that end, but it’s not as doom and gloom and most outlets would have you believe.

Barkley, Stockton, Malone, Iverson, Baylor, Ewing, Nash, ‘Nique, Reggie, Melo, Gervin, Pistol Pete, Bing, Thurmond, and Wilkins all never won a ring

Having a conversation with a friend, and recommending she travels to see her favorite NCAA team ahead of a NBA team she doesn’t have any love for.

In my experience, NCAA games just hit different. There’s just an energy in the crowd that isn’t there with NBA games. I can honestly say that watching my alma mater beat our biggest rival was way more fun than seeing my NBA team beat someone in like February of 2019

Thoughts?
