There’s so much more in a customers decision than ‘price’. I’d even think that ‘price’ isn’t even very high up there.

Yes. I have Pocket Light Meter by Nuwaste Studios (most used). Lightmate is comparable. The app Lightme should be very good but I find it very confusing and grab to Pocket Light Meter 9 times out of 10.Point the iphone camera at something 18% grey (grass, tiles or asphalt) in the shade and consider the rest as sunny 16 (clouds entering, +1, sun brighter -1, etc).

Just use your lightmeter and app simultaniously at home fooling around and you'll quickly learn when it needs adjustment and with what it is most reliable.

Have you considered just setting up your own website?

[–] Garrett_1982@alien.top 2 points 11 months ago

I don’t get it. You bought (was gifted) a picture package of 15 photos. You want more photos and the photographer asks more money for them to get them to you. And now you’re expecting that they’d just dump all the RAW files your way? I find the pricing pretty steep btw but that’s not in question.

Do you go by the bakeries in the evening, expecting they gift you all bread that hasn’t sold? Because you already bought one loaf earlier that day?

Not completely true, they've got enough stuff for arouund 100. Especially their square print sale is interesting, offering hand signed or estate stamped Magnum Photos for €125,-.

Wow time for a reality check. Magnum sells prints themselves. What do you think; that they’ll be copyright-free downloadable in poster size hi-res? Now what would be in it for an Alex Webb to give his work away for free? Buy books and buy prints of artists you admire but don’t go searching for free work of real artists because that is, without a doubt, piracy.

Sounds like you’re trying to short cut years of networking, experience, hard work and being put off a lot of times and have that bundled into an Instagram DM from a stranger. Remember that a well paid photographer is 80% marketing and networking

Don’t know actually. Mr.Leica on YT has a video about the Voigt and compares it to a whole lot of other Nikon 50’s.

I have Nikon F-mount film cameras so I haven’t looked at anything else than F-mount.

I put them on a shelf and enjoy them. Not every hobby needs to be monetized.

I hate to admit but I really liked the game the Spurs played while losing (...) last weekends game to the Kings. That was when I thought "this is the second game in a row where I favor Spurs' gameplay, am I onto something". The way they kept pacing at 100+ points in Q4 was thrilling and exciting. A good win so congrats but I really liked Collins and Wemby

As a European, the NBA is fairly new to me. But it's an exciting sport to watch. So far we've watched a couple of games and I really enjoy how the SA Spurs play. I really liked how Collins is playing and find it hilarious when Wembanyama just grabs a ball out of the air in front of the basket. The 3-pointers he shoots are beautiful.
But... I don't wanna fan up completely to a team, based on 1 or 2 games I've watched, in a sport that I don't fully understand.

Can anyone educate me about where to go look for historic reference, mentality of clubs and players etc etc. And how do the Spurs fit in the regular American viewer?
