Sounds reasonable if you think of the country as big. Attracting migrants is necessary as the birth rate in most educated countries is negative so the population, if left to itself, is declining. Migrants will mostly want to live in cities and probably the bigger ones with more opportunities. The infrastructure will mostly be needed to expand the big cities which will make them a lot less inviting. That might be less of an issue as everything electrified on the way to a low carbon economy, the smog will reduce as will some of the noise.

Isn’t the world’s population supposed to peak by 2070 and then decline? Sounds like a capitalist going on about the need for endless growth to make him billions. Has anyone thought about what Canada would be like to live in if there were 70 million extra people?

Only the highest of priorities for this guy!

That’s what I thought but had seen references that implied live location sharing existed, so I asked. Ta

It took years of campaigning for Australia to ban asbestos but we did in 2003. Lots of legacy in buildings that causes no end of risk for firies dealing with burning buildings and tradies fixing them. The fact it took so long is a testament to the power of lobbying. There should be jail time for those who perpetuated it.

It comes down to reducing demand. EVs are a part, so is reducing plastic use, so is public transport. Converting buildings and industrial processes off methane is on the list. If demand doesn’t drop then they will keep drilling.

Insurrection affects people at all levels of civic life including those who want to be dog catchers. Does this ruling make Congress the arbiter of all these assessments or merely the president?

We still use disinformation when, given the seriousness, we should be calling them what they are, lies.

What’s the likelihood that the billionaires driving the work from office campaign are really trying to reestablish their power and instil fear in their workers again? It’s all about control so they can squeeze and fire people as they like. They sound like psychopaths.

Disinformation or more accurately, lying, is Russian doctrine. Everything that they say seems to be a lie and designed to delay appropriate action.

Never watched this Carlson fool but it seems that others do to their detriment. If you are so desperate for ratings that you need to give a platform to Putin, your life must be in tatters.

What can you say when a religious group gets together to promote drowning people in a river? Maybe they have misunderstood the second coming of Christ is about judgement.
